I have just been diagnosed with a second DVT, although I am sure it is the remainder of the 1st that didn't clear.
I had 1st 5 weeks after a 2nd emergency c-section.
1st was also an emergency, I haemorrhaged and lost 2.6 litres blood as I have apparently an unusual high number of blood vessels surrounding uterus. I received a transfusion
2nd was identical to the first in situation and blood loss except that I was hooked up to a recycler instead of getting a transfusion - so I got my own cleaned blood back.
The wound never healed properly for about 3 months. was staples and these came out 5 days after and 1 side opened up about 2cm. For about 3-4 weeks it leaked haemorrhagic fluid (I had to wear a maternity pad against wound and change it every 6 hours!). I can still feel granular/ball like lumps under the skin.
I have periods again, but not regular...some times it 3 weeks and then lasts 4 days with no pain then 6 weeks later i have another that lasts 10 days and hurts like hell - mainly on the left, the side that has the clot.
I am sure I have adhesions and it is all related.
Has anyone else been in this situation? or one very similar? I always feel like a fool going to the docs but enough is enough
