Issues with subscribing to threads. Help, please!

hi, i know HOW to subscribe to a thread, but when i make a new post and check "instant email notification" from the drop down menu in the "thread subscription" area, it doesn't list it on my subscription threads. I have to subscribe AGAIN after it's posted and select from the "Thread Tools" menu. Then and only then will it show up on my list,

Am I doing something wrong?

i seem to be having the same problem. not getting notifications. which i was before??
