Itching, Spotting, low cervix and very mild cramping??

I'm going to be ringing the doctors in the morning but I think I just need some reassurance.

Sorry for the TMI but ...

The last couple of days all around my pubic hair has been super itchy! I was checking my Cervical Mucus today and put my finger in my vagina. I could feel my cervix and then there was bloody discharge on my finger. The discharge has been like that for the last couple of hours. I've had a little bit of cramping maybe slightly more than normal. I'm thinking this might just be a result as an infection but i'm still so worried this is the start of something bad.

Any comments welcome.

Maybe you burst a blood vessel near the cervix? If I were you I would speak to a doc right away or go to the ER. Bleeding should always be checked out. I am sure it's a ruptured blood vessel or something minor. However, the bleeding and cramping should be investigated ASAP.

I went to the doctors and he basically guessed thrush, prescribed me cream and the pessary and had no explanation to why I Bled (which has now stopped). He felt my tummy, took blood pressure and a urine sample.He offered to listen to the babys heart beat but admitted he hadn't used the machine in a long while and didn't want to worry me if he couldn't find the hear beat so i said dont worry about it. So now i'm at home feeling a bit lost! I don't have a midwife appointment till the 4th of April so wondering if i should just pay for a private scan to check everything is ok.

Are you in the UK? If so, ring the early pregnancy unit at the hospital and explain. They can offer you a scan to check baby X

Yes I would do the same if in the UK, they are great the EPU and helpful.... How many weeks are you?
My doc did that before listen in and couldnt find it so I did it in the end to show him, I do it my self at home but really wanted to show him - xxx

You aren't supposed to mess with your cervix while pregnant! Why would you check it? Keep your finger out of there as it can introduce harmful bacteria and irritate the cervix causing bleeding. For peace of mind id pay for a private scan. Hope all is okay!

So glad everything seems to be ok for now. My cervix use to have me so freaked out during pregnancy. I had to put progesterone high in to my vagina (TMI sorry) twice a day until 12 weeks. I swear that thing would be up, down, open, closed all the time lol.

I would still want a scan/doppler to check for babies heart beat because of the bleeding if it was me.

Calm down about the cervix. In an uncomplicated, healthy pregnancy, you're certainly allowed to have sex and masturbate, both of which could be far more disruptive. Provided your hands are clean, a gentle check won't cause any harm. That being said, there is not much useful information to be gained since it can be high, low, soft, hard, medium, anything really...

Thats good to know about the Cervix and it has no specific position and firmness!. I wasn't necessarily checking it, I just happened to feel it as I was checking to see if my CM was showing signs of infection. I may give the EPU or midwife a call tomorrow to see if she can fit me in sooner but everything has gone back to normal now.

I'll glad it calmed down. I bet the cramping and spotting had all to do with your cervix. Since you think you could have an infection and had that incidence id call to be on safe side.
