I am due to have a frozen embryo transfer on Thursday. Over the weekend I have developed thrush. I haven't had it for over 10 years!

I spoke to the clinic this morning who said not to use any pessaries or creams up there, and any cream I use on the outside should be safe for use in pregnancy. Reason being is it can obstruct things for the transfer.

Well, that narrows it down to.....no treatment :nope:. I am allergic to the tablet (fluconazole).

So I am after some natural remedies for thrush. It can't be yoghurt as thats too creamy too. Has anyone tried anything, and had good results. I am getting a little desperate and I don't think doing nothing (as suggested by the clinic receptionist) is an option!

Hi Caline
I don't get the creamy thing cause the pessaries (progesterone) are creamy plus the clean your cervix prior to transfer. I'm trying to remember the herbal remedy, is it tea tree oil ?

I am using the progesterone rectally until after transfer (as advised by my clinic, not out of choice)! The receptionist said don;t use pessaries, but to ne honest I would have preferred to speak to a nurse. It might be that if I used a pessary now it would be gone by Thursday, but I don't want to risk complicating matters.

I have just read about using vinegar either in the bath or on a tampon. Sounds a bit stingy to me though

I think tea tree oil is a natural antibacterial but whether it would work on thrush.....but its worth a try. Trip to Boots tomorrow me thinks.

Thanks. Whens your scan? Must be soon?
