Hello ladies. Has anyone had a mirena IUD and noticed the threads getting longer? I've had mine in about 8 months and when I first began checking the threads they were pretty short and stubby, but now they feel very long, I can actually grab them if I use two fingers. I've also noticed more spotting and cramping then usual. Do you think it has possible come out of place?

If you think the threads are longer, us a plan B for birth control condoms, or no sex. As for the IUD, get it checked, spotting strings longer, and a good sign that your IUD is ejecting from it position, or coming out.

Agree w this.

It does sound like it could be ejecting. Not to worry a simple GYN appt should fix it right up the strings def can't grow so that would be my guess.
