Xenforo Cloud will be upgrading us to version 2.3.5 on March 3rd at 12 AM GMT. This version has increased stability and fixes several bugs. We expect downtime for the duration of the update. The admin team will continue to work on existing issues, templates and upgrade all necessary available addons to minimize impact of this new version.

Hi there 
I would do some research online, there are TONS of websites that have useful information on IUI.
I am about to start cycle number 2 with IUI using Femara 6.5mcg. So obviously #1 didnt work.
I feel like its a good 'Next Step' option for those TTC for a while. While I'm not sure what you are doing exactly, I did the Femara,Trigger shot,sperm washing then IUI.
I know other RE do it differently with little changes here and there, I'm just learning all about it myself.

I don't know too much myself at the moment, but I think it's pretty similar. I've had a look online, and there seems to be pretty mixed responses as to how effective it is. The clinic we are using has quite a high success rate though. We've been ttc for over 2 years now, and it seems like a good next step.

I am an IUI success story! Got pregnant on the second round of IUI, first round using clomid. My FS was scannig me also to monitor and measure follicles. I was also using a CBFM to moitor hormone levels. It is all a bit of guess work to be honest, when is the best timing... For me, when she thought the follicles were about to release (I was ov'ing on my own anyway) we did the procedure (OH goes in 2 hours earlier to give sample, which is then washed).
The difference between my first (unsuccessful) and 2nd (successful) cycles was
1. I was taking clomid which menat that I had 3 x mature follicles which obviously increased my chances.
2. she used a trigger shot, althoug unlike most people I had this at he same time as IUI rather than 24-36 hours prior and
3. we BD'd that night too just to make sure!

I'm very biased but would very much recommend IUI. Our first go worked and whilst I wouldn't want to give anyone false hope and know it doesn't work for everyone I would say definately give it a go if it's being offered to you.
I was given Clomid for 5 days, then scanned on day 7 to see how many follicles I had (3 big ones), was given trigger shot on day 12 then procedure on day 14. Somewhere on here is the thread I started about shedding light on IUI and it says on the original post how many sperm there were post wash etc. From what I've seen the thread's still going and the girls on there can probably offer you some really great advice and support.

I think I have seen your IUI thread Smurfette, its' fantastic to hear that IUI's have worked! Me and dh are going on holiday soon, so we won't be proceeding with it for at least another month. I also need to lose about 1/4 of a stone to be eligible for funding!! Then we'll go for it, I'm really hoping for a BFP by Christmas! xx
