My pregnancy is currently somewhere between 5 and 6 weeks along. Ish. It all happened yesterday. Nothing to mark a panty liner much, but I could see it when I wiped. Mainly brown. But 2 wipes over the day were pinky coloured (which freaked me out). No clots. I've had very mild cramps on and off too (though I was getting those before some days so I guess I can't read too much into it). Overnight, no spotting at all, and what there was this morning was hardly visible and brown.

Have rung my GP surgery this morning and am sitting here waiting for the call back. I am feeling a bit weird to be honest. I've never had a miscarriage, but had a termination at 12 weeks last time due to my baby being diagnosed with anencephaly. So I haven't yet allowed myself the luxury of thinking all would be well.

I am running to the loo every 20 minute to check but nothing - today at least so far. I did feel a bit queazy this am but goodness knows if this was mind over matter or what.

Not sure what to make of it all. I am hoping I can go for a scan this eve for them to check me out so I can get a better idea.

I will let you know.

J xx

goodluck i bleed with my 2 kids brown spotting and they were fine.

let us know how u get on.

Sorry you have had a stressful couple of days, keep us updated and i am sure its going to be fine xxx

Hope everything goes well and the spotting is just the baby getting comfy x

oh luv!!! hope everything is ok. Let us know how you get on, and in the meantime take it easy!!!

A lil spotting especially brown/pink is very common. I did this with my 3 children and with this pregnancy also. I'm sure everything is fine, I know easier said then done but try not to stress to much. Good luck!

Ta ladies! Still waiting for the GP to ring me. I guess they are seeing morning patients right now. I've had absolutely no bleeding or spotting or anything else at all today. Bachache, but that's about it.

My best friend had a little bit of pink spotting when she was between 5 and 6 weeks and I looked it up in a book for her which said that as long as the spotting was not accompanied by severe abdominal pain then it was more than likely nothing to worry about. She is now 7 weeks and had a scan at the hospital which showed everything to be fine. She has had no further spotting. Keeping my fingers crossed for you. xxx

fingers crossed everything is ok - I hope you get the call soon, waiting is more annoying than anything else! Best of luck!

GP has just rung me. She said given I've had no further spotting/bleeding today I should not over worry but I should do a pregnancy test in a few days... she said some ladies do have spotting/bleeding episodes that are nothing to worry about - but I am to call her again should I get another episode. She asked if I feel pregnant but I find it hard to answer. I haven't been swamped with symptoms up till now as its early days. With my son I didn't get MS proper until about 7 weeks. All I have at the mo is a dull ache in my back.

Just a waiting game.

Hmm, fair enough. Just be extra careful mate!!!

Many (even most?) have some degree of brown/pink even red spotting at some time during pregnancy. I had a bleed at 11.5 weeks with my first and all was well. There is no cause for concern unless the bleeding is heavy and accompanied by strong cramping.

Hope all is well x

I have also rung the local EPU centre today. They said that as I am only 6 weeks there is nothing they can do so I just have to see what happens. Nothing much else today, just a tiny bit of brown old blood. I was surprised by the lady on the phone really as she wasn't very supportive. I guess they see it all the time and get blase about the whole thing.

Oh well. Had to sit in a tiny child size plastic chair for an hour at my son's school for his school play. Not very comfortable! Play was fun though!

I hope everything is fine. I think they tend to be a bit matter of fact at EPUs well they were at mine. when I miscarried at 6 weeks the nurse was surprised I was upset!

Just take it easy and rest up, I hope all goes well for youx
