IVF - Portsmouth Queens anyone?

Hi,

Has anyone had IVF at Portsmouth Fertility Centre, Queen Alexandra Hospital?.

I was wondering whether they harvest your eggs and do egg transfer under general anaesthetic? as I find even a smear test very painful and am worried about it. I have had IUI twice and managed that with a special numbing gel from my GP but I'm not sure I would be allowed this for IVF.
