well, i have been trawling through past posts and looking at whats being going on with everyone who was going through their pregnancy with me.

how is everyone's LO doing? Leah is now nearly 8 months old and can't believe where the time has gone! I was reading through old posts of when i was in 3rd tri, in labour, and when she was just days old - it seems like forever since she was a tiny little newborn

Leah is now sitting unaided very well, don't need cushions behind her anymore, she is crawling backwards, eating like a trooper, waves (a little hit and miss!), uses both hands and interacts with us. No teeth yet though!! Nights can be a bit hit and miss sometimes with her waking for a bottle, but on a whole she is such a good girl and i'm on :cloud9: so much so I am eve feeling broody again....but it can't happen for various reasons

anyone else planning on their next bubs, or expecting again?

Jus wanted a catch up with everyone really! xxx

Hello Mrs RJ! Alex is coming along really well too - he's got two teeth, can sit up unaided, claps his hands, giggles and laughs hysterically all the time, says mama mama, ra ra, bub bub, ni ni ni, has also just started clicking with his tongue! He's been an angel with his sleeping - started sleeping through at 6 weeks and have only had to get up with him once since then with his teething. No plans for another one. Am speaking to my boss tomorrow about returning to work after Alex's 1st birthday and want to reduce to 4 days!! Worried about whether I'll get it! Absolutely loving being a mummy. And yes, BnB has stolen my life! xx

Hello :hi:

What a lovely post, It would be good to hear how everyone is getting on at the same stages.

I am also on :cloud9: I love Ellie so much and she is the best thing that has ever happend to me and I would not change her for the world
She is coming along so well, She has been sleeping through the night for 12hours since she was 2.5months, some time we have our moment with her at night but dont we all. She started crawling just over 3weeks ago and she is everywhere and anywhere, She smiles and giggls ALL THE TIME and is such a happy little bunny. She loves loves LOVES her food :haha: (just like mummy) She has been sitting unaided for the past few days and is now pulling herself up to standing (so I need to get moving things out of the way)
She is really becoming her own little person and is starting to get very cheeky and I think she knows already how to pull my strings
She hasnt got any teeth coming through yet though, anytime she is a little grumpy I think 'oh shes teething' but I have been doing this since she was 4months :dohh:

Hope you are all doing well :hugs:

Hello all :hi:

My lil madam is doing well I am so going to miss her when I return to work in 2weeks

She will be 8 months this weekend, she sits, crawls, hold on to the sofa and moves around a lot. I can't keep up with her  she also loves sreaming and says bababa and makes other funny noises

She also has two bottom teeth and loves using it when eating solids

Planning for baby no 2, I so miss being pregnant and I just hope we get lucky soon so lil madam can have a lil bro or lil sis to play with.

I get worried about Alice when i hear all the things other babies do! She's just over 8months old and she still isn't sitting unaided makin attempts at crawling but has been for weeks.she can stand if Im holding her but nowhere near doin it on her own. On the plus side she waves all the time to hi and bye does kisses started making the clicky sound with her tongue and has 5teeth! She's. A little angel at night sleeping between 12 and 14 hours! I think she's just way to lazy hehe! X

Hello! Can you believe all these babies are almost 8months old???
Phoenix is a little monkey. has 3 teeth cut through and another 3 that I can see sitting just under the gums. He has been sitting unaided for about 6wks now and in the last couple of weeks has started commando crawling. He can also pull himself up to standing against furniture and if you hold both his hands he'll take 3 or 4 steps.
I'm loving being a SAHM and have no intntions of returning to work at this stage, we're NTNP so who knows when number 2 will come along!

Hey All :)
Hasnt 8 months flown by?! I've been back at work since the beginning of July... its been tough - but I'm coping (thank goodness I found a great 'helper'/nanny- I'm calling her Mary Poppins!)...
My LO is sitting on his own... trying to get into a crawling position but never seems to work out.... he loves to jump in his jolly jumper (we hang it from the doorframe) and would walk all day if we could loan him our arms/balance and hands :)
He's eating plenty of things, and we're still BF - although little difficult atm as he has two teeth and another one on the way....

Great to catch up with everyone - thanks for starting the thread rj :)

PS As for sleeping through, he still eats every 3/4 hrs... so I've learnt to cope with getting up at least twice a night now!

I also can't believe how quickly the time has gone by.

Bobby has 2 teeth and think he's working on a 3rd because he's drooling like crazy again, he's still waking 2-3x a night and lately at 4am he's up for a couple hours before going back down. We started introducing solids a month ago and some days he takes them great, other days not so much (which I think is because of the teething)

He's already started pulling himself up with furniture and constantly wants to be standing, he's even started letting go with one hand - I give it a couple weeks before he's standing on his own.

I'm glad I still have a few more months off to spend with him, I am already dreading going back to work, especially if his sleeping habits don't improve. We already have names picked out for baby #2 but are going to wait a year or so before we start trying.

Great thread! thank you :D

Hi girls!... time flies hey! Well Abigail is just over 7 months, she sits unaided perfectly, has 2 teeth thru and the top ones are nearly there too! She hates tummy time so doubt she'll crawl - I didn't, I did the bum shuffle :haha: She says Buuuuuuf, gah (in a high pitched inquisitive voice) mumumum when she's fed up :haha: - she whizzes around in her walker already! And sleeps 7-7! Blissful child! She laughs and smiles all the time except when her toofipegs annoy or she tires herself out completely!! :D She blows kisses too by putting her two lips together and making a pop sort of sound! Well cute :)

Her mummy thou has cried the past 2 mornings watching her go to grandmas and i'm now back at full time work and 2 hours with my pud and bout half hour in the morning sucks! I also got into a running routine when I was on leave and am paying £50 for the gym but can't see how I'll fit this in around pudlet :( any ideas??? xxxxxx nice to hear from you all!

it's lovely to hear from you all and see our bubs are all growing up so well! i need to post up a recent pick of her really as the avatar is where she was just a few hours old, changed a but since then!!

we are still waiting for the illusive toothipegs to come through. Oh, and we are showing a spanking big bruise on her cheek and scratches on the other thanks to a delightful little boy in nursery yesterday, looks like i have been beating her up!!!

On a bit of a downer, we will be on a trip to the docs today, Leah has been bringing up her milk quite impressively over the past few weeks and it seems to be getting worse, so no idea what it is. Can't be a bug after this long, and if she just has a solid meal with water she is fine, it is just milk that comes up within minutes of her eating it.

Kota...how exciting a number 2 might be on the way soon - keep us posted!! Hopefully with a second it won't be as bad sickness wise for you as it was for the first.

Well, best go to get her brekkie ready - keep in touch everyone!!! xxx

Hi

I do remember quite a few of you now.

It has been an amazing 8 months (or 17 months rather!)

I am loving every minute of being a new mummy.

Anna is doing great. Sitting unaided without need for cushions. No signs of crawling. I must have her near some furniture to see if she tries to get up - I always have her in the middle of the huge empty sitting room so that she can roll around and not get hurt! No teeth yet. She copies high pitched screams or low pitch grunts straight away without repeating. She says mum all the time (dad is not liking that!) She sleeps from 10.30pm - 9.30am everyday! I actually cant believe I am up at 8.30am - OH was in and out the room 'is this shirt blue or purple?' 'what colour is this tie?'.....aargh!

We are going on holiday to Majorca next week - cant wait!

Anna was Christened a couple weeks ago - it was a great day - here are some pics if you missed them https://www.babyandbump.com/baby-club/404521-few-pics-annas-christening-day.html

And I am off work til January 2011.

Have a good day:flower:

oohh lovely thread!!!

My chunky monkey are 7.5 months old - how did that happen!! They are as different as two little people can be in EVERY way.

Fynn - 19.5 lbs forever wiggling giggling and is the NOISIEST boy in the world he chatters and giggles all day. He rolls around all over the place now but not sitting or crawling

Sam - 20.5lbs MR COOLLL personified he is calm collected sweet and gentle - he laugh and talks and is DESPERATE to walk - he tries to sit and is nearly nearly there.

They have both slept 12 hours from 16 weeks which saved my sanity. xx

Hello Garnet Mommies! :hi:

Great to see that everyone is doing so well.

Eitia is a dream, such a lovely natured happy baby, and I'm on :cloud9: every time I look at her.

She was rolling and sitting at 5 months and by about 7 months I felt confident enough to remove cushions. So far she will get onto one knee from sitting position but just has to get the other knee into position before she's off crawling. Can't judge how long till that day but we're in no rush. She kind of does a backward commando crawl though when on her tummy. She also stands up well when supported.

She's been babbling for a while now and likes to say 'dada' a lot and will only say 'muuuma' when distressed/crying. She makes other word-like sounds also in amongst her usual screeches, squeals and raspberries. She can wave and say 'ta ta' (with a distinct 't' sound), give kisses, cuddles and hi fives. Can't clap yet but loves slapping her hands on her knees!

She has 4 teeth: two bottom, two top, and I think more will be appearing very soon!

We started her on solids and formula at 6 months and breakfast and dinner is usually good but can struggle with lunch at which she will hardly eat anything but will happily guzzle her bottle of milk. I still do the odd breastfeed in combination with bottles of formula which was a struggle to get down her at first but now loves it! She's good with fingerfood, chews well, got the pincer grip down pat, and feeds herself a loaded spoon. Meal times are very messy, especially when she decides to blow raspberries with a loaded spoon in her mouth! :haha:

So far she only got a cold once (from me) and haven't had to see the doc for any other reason. We're down to two naps a day and she's been sleeping through (7pm to anytime between 5-6.30am) since 6 months.

She's a well-behaved baby in public generally but can get screechy and vocal when tired or excited.

We definitely want another/more babies but going to wait to try after her first birthday.

Keep well everyone :flower:

i wasnt ment to be a jan mummy as Kane wasnt due till march but i thought i would still post

he's now 7 months 8 days and sitting for a few mins at a time alone, can roll all over the floor and use his baby walker , hes up and rocking on his hands and knees well but is yet to work out that his kness need to follow is hands so he falls on his face bless him

he has cut two bottom teeth and is doing ok on solids, although getting milk down him now is a struggle, sleep is also an issue now after doing 12-14hrs since 14 weeks he now wakes every 10/15 mins for 3 hours in the night but wont feed and dont cry he just calls out and needs resettling DOH!

hes a little treasure even at 3a.m lol

no more babies for us, were all done

x

oh I want another child too! Hoping to try for our 2nd end of next year beginning of 2012! No rush :) enjoying Abi-Lou first xxxx

I wasn't meant to be a January mummy as Patrick decided to show 3 weeks early. Unfortunately we have had a few problems with Patrick as the docs have found extra fluid around his brain - so we are currently going through scans and tests.
He is a lovely, contented happy baby, he can roll over from back to front and vise versa, and is sitting with pillows supporting him and is amazing with his hands, picks up and grabs anything to play with. He is beginning to take weight on his legs when I hold him.

We have a hearing test booked for 2 weeks time as he is extremely quiet and isn't talking or making much noise yet, because of the fluid round his brain they need to check there isn't fluid behind the ear drum which is preventing him from talking - he can definately hear though.

He adores his big sister and watches and smiles at her all day. xx

Lovely thread. I too wasnt meant to be a garnet, meant to be a Feb lovebug as Lucas was due on 21st Feb which wouldve been lovely as it was my late nana's bday but he was too inpatient! lol.

He's doing great. Got his 1st tooth on 4th Sep, learnt to sit unaided on same day, is mobile with a commando crawl and roll combination. He can stand holding onto furniture if I put him there.

He's eating great, learnt to clap and wave and give a kiss. The sleep is hit and miss. He cries out a bit from 4 onwards but it isnt too bad. Wouldnt change him for the world.

All you babies are gorgeous. Good luck with the scan Icside. :hugs: x
