Ok, so, the Cemetary Gates are opened at 8am... this is when we started work. By "we" I mean me and Alan, my current partner, not Jessica's father - he does nothing.
I'll write up what we did first, then I'll put the pictures up so you can pretty much see a step-by-step guide.
This is what we started with :-

These are the steps we took yesterday:-
Yesterday I made up some bouquets for her myself, one with real flowers and one with fake flowers. I bought most of the stuff for them from Hobby Craft - what a fantabulous store, they had all sorts in there!

The steps we took today:-
1) Clear the grave of leaves and rubbish like twigs etc - bin em!
2) Use the hoe, rake and fork and rake out all the stones. Chop up lumps of clay and soil and try and mush it all down.
3) I walked around the edges of the grave to flatten them, then did "dolly steps" across the grave to flatten all of that soil.
4) Even up all the edges so they are straight lines - or as straight as possible.
5) Put the big back of Soil Improver from B&Q in the middle of the grave and open it. Spread it all out and level it down again.

6) Once you're happy that it's as level as you can get it, we used the lining and put that down across the top of the grave and pinned it at the sides.

7) We started putting the fencing up around the edges, we had to use looong bits of bamboo and push them right down into the soil, a good foot down, and then I used Grass (the same as i used to tie the flowers) to tie the bamboo pegs to the fencing. It looks nice, better than string.

8) once we'd done all of the fencing, pegging and tieing. We put the White Spa down and spread that out.

9) Next we tied the tinsel all around the fencing and put her teddies, flowers, pink xmas tree, white wreath, photos, solar powered lights, lantern and poems etc inside the grave. Tieing certain things to the sides of the fence so they wouldnt blow over, for example the teddies. You can't see the string though, its hidden under the bows.

These are the lyrics from a song called Dear Jessie by Madonna - I played this to her in hospital when she had died.
