Jumperoo or door swing?

We want to get LO one or the other. My mum keeps putting me off the door jumper saying theyre dangerous. The jumperoo looks quite big and might take up alot of space. The door one is around £20- £30 and the jumperoo is £89.99

What have you got or which one do you think is best- door jumper or the one with the frame?

We have the Jumperoo, I personally don't like the door ones. My nephew had one and hit himself on the frame and my friends LO trapped his fingers in the door, Jumperoo's are much safer. I got mine for £79 on the kiddisave website, or go on ebay, you may grab a bargain!

I have heard sooooo many good things about jumperoos. Lots of people say the only way they get a break is to of LO in it. That's worth the space to me. Look for one at a consignment store or on eBay. Second hand is mch cheaper.

We only have a door bouncer as it was given to us and LO did bump her head slightly once! She was also only interested in it from about 7 months whereas I think she'd have enjoyed a jumperoo earlier, but I just don't have room!

Scarlett was 4.5 months but could have used it sooner, as soon as you feel their neck is strong enough.

We have both! Bought the door bouncer first and used if a couple of times, got the jumperoo and never used it since! The jumperoo is more save and more entertaining for lo with all the toys/music/lights ect. Also u have to sit with lo at all times in the door bouncer but the jumperoo is handy to put lo in if ur need to pop out the room!

I don't have a jumperoo, but I do have a similar one by bright starts, as well as a door bouncer. My LO definitely prefers the door bouncer - she will stay in it for 20 minutes easily, and I find or very handy to use on various doors around the house. I think she finds the other one too restrictive or something.

We have both! door bouncer was second hand from my sister LO loves it. we live in a 1930's terrace which has been made vaguely open plan (ie they've just knocked bigger than door frame holes in walls to connect the rooms. The one I put the bouncer on is about 6ft wide and no problems with hitting anything and he loves it. He also like lying under it when he's come out and watching it spin back to normal. Just got a jumperoo at a nearly new sale this weekend - cost just under £40 he probably jumps less in this than the bouncer but he likes playing with the toys around it. Either is good but I wouldn't have paid full price for the jumperoo unless he'd tried one already and I knew he was going to like it. friend has a similar thing by leap pad and it was a fraction of the cost and her LO loves that. If you've got any nearly new sales around you it's worth having a look.

We've got the Jumperoo and our LO has only just stared to enjoy it at 6 months. It's OK, but I think they're too expensive. They have a pretty good resale value if you want to sell it on in the future though. Check out gumtree for offers too

My sister has a door bouncer for her kids and I have a Jumperoo for my daughter. My sister loves the door bouncer and her two kids did too, she's never reported any issues with it to me. I did my research on both before deciding to get a Jumperoo for my little one. I just read about way too many accidents with the door jumper for my comfort. The Jumperoo is the safer option and money is not a concern for us. Our daughter LOVES her Jumperoo and she's been using it since she was 4.5 months. She's so active that the Jumperoo as been such a blessing as it allows her to do her thing while I get a little break or while I get other things done.

We don't have a jumperoo but Alexander looooves his doorway bouncer. We have never had any mishaps with it. He didn't really know what to do with it until he was 6-7 months old though. Before that he just kind of sat there grinning weirdly at us, lol.

Jumperoo all the waaayyyy!! My LO is 4 and a half months old and loves loves loves it!! I got one second hand from Gumtree for £40 it is an absoloute life saver. I got it when he was four months and he just sat in it for only a few mins at a time. Roll on three weeks and he quickly realised he could bounce in it/ play with the toys and now he giggles away in it for about 20 mins whilst I get housework done. He'd happily live in it of I let him.

Ditto! My daughter had no idea what to do in her Jumperoo when we first put her in it at 4.5 months. Her feet didn't even touch the floor yet (just the tips of her toes) so we had to stack books underneath her for her to push off of. Over the next few weeks she discovered what she could do in it and now she LOVES it, she's a little jumping machine. Even when she's out of her Jumperoo she still tries to jump whenever someone is holding her and there is anything to push off of with her feet.

We've got a jumperoo for when LO is older. I've heard a few people saying their LO's hurt themselves on the door frame in the door bouncer. The reviews I've heard on the jumperoo are excellent, so hopefully it'll be a good buy!

Wowza! Jumperoos sure are pricey in the UK! We paid $72 for ours through Amazon.

Captain Corinne isn't jumping in hers, yet, but she does love to chew and drool on the seat's rim. Also, she loves slapping the monkey and parrot. I think it's a keeper.
