Hello girls!
Some of you may know (from my endless moaning) that i didn't have any midiwife appointments due to making a complaint about my current appointments that were held at a 'youngmums' clinic. Was sick of them showing up hours late, making us do urine tests in a room of 20 people, and generally being really patronising. Finally got my appointment through today so will be having normal midwife appointments at the hospital now :happydance: Might actually mean i get measurements done for the first time aswell!

Also blood test tomorrow!
Mums birthday friday (and 1st hospital MW app)

i think it was just putting those little strips into the sample u give them that checks for protein and all those other things lol but im not entirely sure ...if they'd tried to get me to pee infront of 20 people i'd have told em where to go and walked out :haha:

And Kayla it's pretty easy to get your hospital bag done, i thought it would take ages, got all the stuff and got it packed on the same day, for under £20 as well  Makes it feel like your closer to having your baby here aswell (well that's how i felt after doing it!)

And thanks briony, glad it's sorted too, been a bit annoying not having midwife appointments, i'll be 34+1 my next appointment, and my last one i was about 30+5 so been a while of not knowing how everythings going with the little dude!

No, not actually pee in front of people, but go to the toilet, pee in our tubes, then we all had to sit in a cirlce holding our pots of wee, and then they was tested with those strips in front of everyone. Was disgusting, especially that some of the girls had really strong wee (sorry tmi) and it stunk the room out. SOOOO unorganised that place!

EWWWWW
at my doctors we would just pee in the cup, then ;eave it on a desk outside the bathroom and the nurse would go get it

Once I got to 30 weeks it started to fly by also! I mean it was only a week ago but still this week has gone by really fast lol. I am glad you got your appoinments all straightend up. I just realized I should probably start figuring out my hospital bag also.

Yeah, I have a lot of stuff to buy for my bag... mainly a lot of those travel sized toiletries, but baby's bag will be a lot easier. I know i'm probably being too paranoid by packing it this early, but i'd rather just get it out of the way in case anything happens and my little girl decides to come early!! i'm having a hard time too though because the hospital where i'm delivering at is 2 hours away, so she may need to eat and have a diaper change on the way home, so i have to try to be prepared for that too.

I packed sooo much stuff in my hospital bag, didn`t really need anything, all I needed were diapers, wipes, outfit for me and quin, pjs for me, socks and toothbrush and toothpaste

Oh wow 2 hours! I couldn't even imagine that! My hospital is like 10 minutes away. I feel like if I don't pack it now I will forget to until it is to late and I am rushing around. I think the hardest thing for me is picking the outfits to pack because I wear the same things all the time so if I pack it I can't wear it. The babies bag will be easy though.

haha!! that is EXACTLY how I am. so I have no idea what i'm going to do about that. and my OH is the same way, so I can't really pack anything for him until last minute either.

My OH isn't packing anything because he can easily come home and get something or send my parents or my brother to. But like I can bearly fit into my jeans anymore so now I have to figure out what to do. I feel like I am going to end up packing my OHs clothes for me to wear haha.

lol, my OH and I both have gray sweaters that look so much alike, and the other day I put on the one that I *thought* was mine, and got soooo excited/surprised that it still fit... and then I realized it was his... lol! But that sweater of his has become my favorite article of clothing lately. His clothes are sooo much more comfy than mine right now.

I litterally stole like all of his basket ball shorts from him. I have like 10 of them. I also took like 2 pairs of pj pants that are HUGE on me. I also took sweat pants from my friend Kevin and I will probably take his pjs too. I am so nice lol.

haha well you are much more in need of them than they are :) i just bought my first pair of maternity jeans, but i feel like i look like an old lady in them, so most of the time i'm just living in sweatpants/leggings. i feel so ugly, but i know it's only for a few more months. tina, you and i are due 2 days apart! i didn't realize.

My oh is a right skinny bum so his stuff wouldn't fit me in the first place. Never mind now with my bump. I have however managed to pinch like 6 tops and 2 sweaters from my dad which are too small from him Hehe but they are still baggy on me at the minute so i'm happy Hehe. And i'm in love with my pregnancy jeans, i have more jeans that fit me now than before i got pregnant. I hope they still fit me after lo is here because they are so comfy and its easier to go to the loo etc because they just have elastic on them, no buttons :-)

I used to have to take a sample with me from home and then they gave it back when they were done with it so I had to take it back with me

I didn't end up packing my hospital bag until 38 weeks and packed wayy to much lol.
