So i am just back from the FS.

They said that all my hormones are normal, which is unusual for someone of my BMI apparently. She said apart from 3 or 4 cycles, my cycles have been within the "normal range". She said that she can't help me unless I loose a significant amount of weight (about 40% of my body weight) so go home, loose weight and good luck. I literally cried all the way home, and actually can't seem to stop. Hubby isn't great at the emotional support bit, he has taken the stance of 'oh well, we'll just need to loose weight'. My mum who's never experiences infertility said 'at least you know where you stand'. I feel SO alone! No one close to me seems to understand how much this means to mean and how, if I could loose weight I WOULD have done by now! I have done everything else I could to be healthy for a baby, I have stopped drinking and i have quit smoking.

I am sorry that this thread is so negative, I just feel so alone, and didn't know who else to turn to other than you ladies.

:cry::cry::cry:

hi hun you are not alone :hugs: ... ive seen a few threads on here saying about loosing weight and there is a big thread some where of people losing weight

i personally had to loose 6 stone .... ive lost 4 since feburary and been told ive to loose another 2 before we can start our ivf ... am doing the cambridge diet and its fab i tried all the other diets and this one is the only one thats worked for me and the support is one on one and fantastic

heres the website if you want a peek https://www.cambridgeweightplan.com/ and if you have any questions or want any support please mail me xx

Have you been tested for PCOS and endometriosis??

I'm not convinced by the overweight theory, I think its an excuse to stop them spending money on investigating you further. My overweight friend never had a problem. I am 'perfect' BMI (supposedly) and have had endo removed and I'm supposed to have a blocked right tube (I say supposed as I'm going to have an HSG privately to check it didn't just spasm). My hormones are a disgrace but NHS consider them to be fine. You are best to get yourself in as best health as you can, then push for everything. Good luck xx
