i was walking down the stairs and didnt see my cat and stepped on her and then fell half way down onto my back. im scared now incase iv hurt the baby  has anybody else done something stupid like this before? my back is hurting, i didnt land on my stomach but hurt mt foot and back

I haven't but sending you well wishes. Perhaps mention to your doc or midwife. If you have any cramping or bleeding i would go straight to A&E.

I'm so sorry you fell! :hugs: Don't worry about hurting your baby, cuz its safe and sound. At this point, even if you fell on your stomach, you wouldnt have to worry, as your baby is still behind your pubic bone. Hope you feel better soon!

Try not to worry, the little one is nestled tight inside you, you should be fine! go careful and maybe go check the cats ok!

thanks girls, im in a state now, i just cant help but think the worse :( im going to have a hot bath now and iv just taken a paracetomol to help my back. i just cant believe i did it xxx

cats ok lol, shes sitting on the table downstairs now, another place shes not meant to be sitting!! xx

Hope you don't hurt too much, you're baby is better protected than you are right now so they will just have had a bit of a shake around hun. As another said if you get any cramping or bleeding call your midwife or mat unit. It's friday night and A&E isn't the place for a pregnant delicate lady like yourself if you can help it. Feet up and get OH to wait on you hand and bruised foot x

Sorry to hear about your fall, I tripped running into the house, you'll be fine I know its scary but your baby is snuggled tight in there. :o)
It seems when your pregnant you get more clumsy LOL I love cats but they can get in the way per say... haha... Take care :hugs:

oh no, you ok? im sure bubs is fine but if you really cant settle contact your docs tomorrow and ask their advice.

Hope it went well at docs today for you x

Aw hun huge :hugs: for you. I fell off a swing (I know stupid of me) when I was 8 months pregnant, and bubs was fine hun. Like the others have said any doubts ring primary care, nhs direct or out of hours surgery.

Hi, I fell down the stairs when I was pregnant with my daughter. I had some pink spotting for a couple of weeks but everything turned out fine and my daughter is a very stroppy 16 year old now!x

thanks everybody, feeling sick now but there is no bleeding or anything and not cramping so think im just going to wait. might ring the docs tomorrow and explain but by what iv read there is nothing they will do anyway. xx

3 nights ago I fell up the stairs :dohh:

I hurt my leg but other than that Im fine, Im sure you'll be ok

sorry you fell! hope you are okay...what a worry!...hope you feeling a bit better by now! :hugs:

Sorry for your fall, I hope your back get to feeling better

Sorry about your fall and hope youre ok! Baby shuld be absolutely fine. I fell down a flight at 34 weeks with DS#2 in some dodgy slippers, he was quiet for a couple of hours, but luckily it happened on a scan day and he was fine. My consultant was more worried about the huge bruise on my back. I was reliably informed its more dangerous for mom than baby. HTH put your mind at rest xx

Hope you're feeling better today sweetie xx

This happened to my husband. I wasnt home but when I got home he told me about it. After he was mad at me because I was more concerned about the cat then him.

Baby is so safe and tucked up in there sure it will be fine.

I walked full pelt into a shopping trolley when i was 20 weeks with my dd, i was pushing it and ds put his foot under the wheel and it stopped in front of me, I was really shocked and soon turned hysterical, I called the midwife who tried to calm me down i went to see her and she heard babys heart beat and explained how safe baby was, I was so scared i had hurt baby and i really did slam into the trolley, but dd was fine and i carried to term no problems!

It is so difficult to be careful during pregnancy because we get really clumsy, it gets worse when we cant see our feet and start tripping on stuff because we cant see the floor!!!(so really beware of the cat then!)

Hope your feling ok today, and not so worried, and tell the cat to get off the bloody stairs!!:dohh:

:hugs:

thanks girls, you have all made me feel better! i think it was more shock than anything and because i panic about everything i just cant help think the worst! but my back is a bit sore but had a nice warm bath last night and then jumped into bed and feel better, and not having any cramps so taking it as a good sign. i will mention it to my midwife when i see her, and see if she says anything about it but very much doubt it! xxx
