Just found out yesterday, looking for girls my age (17) and/or with similar dates (about 4 weeks 4 days gone) to talk to and share this with.
I'm wondering what common early symptoms are in younger girls, I'm feeling very sick, emotional and tired yet I'm struggling to sleep and get comfortable, did anybody else get this?
Also want advice on when to tell people, I have told my mum and a tutor at college (I burst into tears for no reason and she got it out of me) ... there are a few other people I would like to tell but I'm worried before the 3 month mark. Who did you tell and when/how? Any advice will be massively appreciated.

Hey i'm mana :) welcome! I'm afraid i'm neither your age not got similar dates to you though :(

I waited until my 12 week scan to tell most people, however I told 1 friend and my family/OHs family before that :) as for early symptoms, its different for everyone, and for every pregnancy :L my first symptoms were fire boobs and an aversion to pasta :p

Congratulations btw :3

Hi! I'm Emilee, I'm 17 also, but not close to your due date. Tiredness hit me hard before I knew I was pregnant (and sadly it comes back third trimester!). I never really had morning sickness though until around 15 weeks. I told my parents the day I found out which was around 12 weeks. I waited to tell close friends until about 16 weeks, and people that I went to school with actually just found out a few weeks ago. I told my parents by bursting into tears and my mom just kind of had it figured out before I even knew I guess lol. I told the people I went to school with by posting a picture onto Facebook. Anyways congrats! If you need someone to talk to you can always PM me. :)

Thank you so much for replying, I have decided that aside my mum and other immediate family that I will tell within the next few weeks, along with OH's, apart from the tutor that already knows, I will tell 2 friends, one of which is pregnant herself, I won't make it public information until 12 weeks.
I've had really sore, itchy boobs but that seems to have subsided, now I'm sick, dizzy and tired... and damn hungry too.

Thank you! :3

Hi Emilee, congrats! I'm not as far gone as you were when you found out, so I guess telling people would be pretty diferent for us. As for the tiredness, it is awful, I feel shattered yet cannot settle through the night and end up spending most of it wide awake :(
Thank you, I'll be sure to message you at some point! Good luck :)

Everybody is different some people have no symptoms at all, I was just veryy tired in the beginning I definately experienced the fatigue they talk about other then that I had no symptoms for a while..
As far as telling people, do whats most comfortable for you! Everybody knew right away when I jus found out.. My OH was so excited he told everyone he knows when I was jus under 4 weeks and I had told all my family by 6 weeks. We were just too excited about it! If you are more comfortable waiting for your 12 week scan thats totally normal tho.

Hello! :flower::wave: I'm Jess, I am also 17 and I am 5 weeks 3 days with my first! Feel free to PM me :) and I am still in the exact stage, I can't sleep more than exactly 6 hours a night even though I'm deathly tired! I have already told my close friends and plan on driving out to see my family and tell them next week :) it's always good to have support if something goes wrong. Happy and Healthy <3

Hey, congratulations! I am also 17 and i am 11 weeks 4 days. My first symptems wee HIVES! Pray you don't get them!!! And I was really tired, at about 6 weeks a started getting nausouse.

I didn't Wait very long to tell people. At about 8 weeks I told my friends and now at 11 weeks I think everyone knows. I just think that I miscarriage itsnt going to be any easier weather no one knows or everyone knows its hard either way ad at least you would have support. And the more people who know the more people you have praying for a healthy baby!!!

Firstly, congratulations and welcome, my name is Clair, I'm 18 and I have a 10.5 month old son called Jason :flower:

I turned 17 when I was 9/10 weeks along, and so gave birth at 17 too!
I had morning sickness, but from 9 weeks, sore, heavy boobs, back pain, heartburn and tummy cramps.

I told my mum when I was around 5 weeks, I found out at roughly 3, and 4 'best friends', 2 of who went and told EVERYONE (I live in a very small place) so everyone knew by I was around 6 weeks, it was horrible and I wish I got to wait until my 12 week scan so I knew everything was okay!

Congrats and welcome :) My name is Evita, I am also 17, will be 18 when LO is born. I am 12w6d so a little further than you. I didn't really experience symptoms as early on as you are except the tiredness and not able to settle! But for me that soon turned into needing to sleep long long hours, wanting to sleep all the time and I would fall asleep as soon as I hit the pillow. I've always suffered insomnia so it was strange for me. Hope your going well though :) xo

Thank you all so much for your replies!
I have my first midwife appointment tomorrow, I've started being sick now :( It's not toooo bad, but it's getting worse. My tiredness is just as bad, though I'm sleeping better. I also seem to have a very bloated tummy, which if I am right with my dates would be very unusual?
I'm feeling really anxious, Ive suffered from this before but it seems to have gotten really bad, I don't like being out alone, I just feel really overwhelmed and as I'm getting a lot of dizziness and light headedness I feel really nervous when I'm out alone and there's a lot of people. I suffer from low blood pressure anyway and I think it may be making me feel faint which isn't helping.
I don't feel up to going to college at the moment, not only because I'm being sick, or that I don't want to be out alone but I'm worn out too and they are getting on my back about that, so I am thinking of pulling out and doing a home study course instead.
Good luck to all of you and thanks again for getting in touch.

It's very normal to bloat earlier on in your pregnancy :)

That's good to know, as you can see my tummy has grown quite a bit, this is me before pregnancy and the other was me yesterday morning, before having anything to eat.
