Just Got Back From the ER - What Are Your Thoughts?

Hello Mommies and Mommies to be.

I decided to go into the hospital tonight as I had been feeling painful cramping and there was spotting the last couple days. Naturally, being pregnant for the first time I was worried.

The doc gave me some blood work and it was noted that my Beta HCG levels were at 2227 and I am 6w6d past LMP. I kinda figured that I must have ovulated late as the clearblue conception indicator put me at conceiving the week of 21-28th on 2 separate tests, in two different weeks and it would make sense because 2227 is kind of low on the almost 7 weeks past LMP scale, isn't it?

He's sending me for a scan tomorrow and I will have another one 14 days from now.

What do you ladies think? Do those levels seem about right?

I'm not sure.....still seems pretty high to me! Hopefully someone more knowledgeable can answer! FX everything turns out fine xxx

One level on its own doesn't tell you much really as there is such a wide normal range. Usually it is the levels 2 days apart that they use to see if they are increasing enough. At6 weeks or over, a scan is much much more useful than bloodwork anyway.
Hope it all works out well. Lots of people have a bit of spotting with no problems at all.

Yeah he told me to go back on Friday to get the blood work done again.

I'm not a doctor but I can tell you that my levels at 6+2 were 47,000. Also a scan so early as 6+2 can causeworry since they don't always see as much as some people think they would. I had an ER scan at 6+2 and all they saw was a sac.

My levels at 6 weeks was 66,000. But remember every womans levels are different. It doesnt indicate a failing pregnancy unless the levels are falling. And you need to get 2 levels done 2-3 days apart to see if they're doubling. Try not to stress, you should see something on the ultrasound. Good luck.

I'm would bet that I conceived late in August which would make me about 4w6d since conception. So does that number seem reasonable for 5 weeks do you think? If I see nothing in the scan today, before I assume the worst, I will assume that I'm accurate in my conception dates....lol....AHHHHH ... lol

I dont want to scare you but on Sept 8th and my levels were low too AT 5 weeks 300 then at 7 weeks 1660 and they didnt do blood work just a US which should just a sac I had 4 US one week apart and the last two both only showed a sac. AT 7 weeks the doctor told me my levels should have been at least 8000 if not over 10000 ended up a empty sac with a D and C on Sept 9th. Good luck I hope you have a better outcome then I had
