Just saying hello... New and TTC

Just wanted to poke my head in here and say hello My wife and I married in February and knew that we both wanted to have kids soon... so this is our first TTC cycle, officially We're trying at-home insemination with a known donor (very good friend of ours, and our best man at our wedding )... I'm going to be the one carrying our baby.

I'm nervous and excited and all kinds of things... and I guess I'd be lying if I said I wasn't just a TINY bit grossed out by the process (hey, cut me some slack... been a long time since I was anywhere near sperm ).

Right now we're counting down to O-day... and trying to take it one day/cycle at a time

Hi just wanted to say good luck! We went through a clinic and had IVF so can't give much practical advice, but will keep my fingers crossed for you both. Oh and I get the sperm thing. Ours was frozen and it was still a bit gross.

I just wanted to say good luck! My husband and I have been trying the last year me having two ectopics...we are planning to try IVF ASAP. Good luck to you and your wife!! I wish you two the best!!

Hi Just wanted to say good luck.

We are waiting for first day of my cycle to start this ball rolling. We are using a clinic and doing IUI with non-anonymous donor sperm. Had 2 unsuccessful cycles with a different clinic last year. We changed clinics and donors and are feeling much more hopeful this time!

Congrats on your wedding! How are things going now for you ladies? My wife and I are expecting our first in January. She is currently just over 6 weeks pregnant. I wanted to share with you what worked for us, as it was a little 'less gross'. lol...It took us 2 cycles to conceive with donor sperm from a known friend. We monitored her ovulation days with the pee sticks and when she had a positive, we inseminated that morning and that evening. We used the 'instead cups', and our donor left the sample right in the cup, and then I inserted it into my wife. We had our own 'baby makin' session, and by surprise, after the 2WW, we got a BFP! I hope it will be this easy for you.
