It's almost 4am and I can't sleep. Have the worst sinus problems that dripped into my throat-so that hurts horribly and I cough. Thought got sick, but went to the doc and she said that it was pollen allergies that are horrible this year and the pregnancy just made it exponentially worse. Gave me a nose spray which is just not helping. I am so desperate to get some sleep but it hurts horribly to swallow and all stuffed up, feels like I can't breathe even though I can. Tried to sleep sitting up and can't do that... I am going to cry :growlmad:
 
Stuffy nose is horrible for sleeping. The best advise I can give is to prop yourself up and sleep in as upright a position as possible. It really helps to keep your sinus,a clear and reduce coughing.

Hot water with honey and lemon is good for a sore throat too the honey soothes and coats your throat while the lemon acts as an antiseptic and gives you vitamin c.
 
nothing is helping. in two nights I slept barely 4 hours...don't know what to do...so frustrating :"(
 
benedyrl and zyrtec is safe during pregnancy and will help eliminate symptoms
 
also have the air cool in your room where you sleep
 
Claritin D worked for me after I was a mouth breather for two weeks- it clears things up for twelve hours so you can actually sleep.
 
zyrtec not helping at all..benadryl I actually have bad reaction to and claritin I was told by my OB I can't take. Going to her on Tuesday (if survive till then)..sort of thinking air purifier now..
 
I swear by my air purifier! It makes the room cool, and it sucks out the dust and pollen. So wonderful!!! I start running mine about an hour before going to bed.
 
Try putting a few drops of peppermint essential oil in a bowl of warm water and breathing in the fumes. Peppermint is AMAZING for sinus issues. And push fluids. Thinning out that mucus in your sinuses will help it start moving and relieve the pressure.
