I really do urge anyone that is struggling with exhaustion or low/borderline iron levels to go out and buy this fantastic, 100% natural iron supplement.

I took the recommended dose for pregnant women yesterday lunchtime, and then again early this morning and I must say I am feeling more myself already.

I love the fact that it's just pure water from Snowdonia!

Plus it says it shouldn't cause tummy upsets or constipation, which is what I was worrying about with other brands too.

All in all a huge thumbs up from me

I love  Spatone too :haha:
When I last had my iron levels tested they were higher than they were at 8wks pregnant!

Wow, wonderful stuff isn't it. I like the fact that you can't taste it at all when put in some OJ too.

Just so, so thankful to be feeling better :happydance:

I use Spatone myself also. I would definetly recommend this product if anyone is suffering with low iron levels in their blood.

I've never heard of it before but i've just ordered some. I have trouble with usual vitamins and they sometimes give me a stomach upset, so looking forward to trying this.

So excited to see something that might help me, im just so exhauseted the whole time i cant bring myself to do anything. Not been tested for anaemia, midwife just said 'hmm i dont think ur anaemic' and ive still not been able to get my 28 weeks blood test results if they test for that too. I worry how on earth will i have the energy for labour or the days and weeks to follow if im like this now :( ordering now!

Really hope it'll help you too! I have even fired off an email telling them how fab they are, and it takes a lot for me to do that :haha:

Hmm i wonder if they can get it to me within the hour.. failing that i might need yet another nap hehe x

I swear by Spatone too and have recommended it on here. I took it in the First Trimester and it worked wonders. I am currently back on it after feeling exhausted and my blood results coming back as 12 with the cut off point being 10.
It is expensive but oh so worth it :D

Well today is the first day I haven't spend in and out of bed in the last week!

Although I do keep looking at the clock thinking 'when is my nap time?' as I am so used to having one.

I guess naps are common at the point that we're all at, but I was just so exhausted I felt I could hardly stand and then when I got the dizzyness and headaches was when I started to worry.

It is expensive, especially on 2 sachets a day! But if you can get it at Boots they usually do 3 for 2 on all vitamins and supplements :D

Spatone is great, i cant take the tablets as they make me sick and dizzy within a few hours but dont get any side effects with spa tone.

Its much cheaper in holland and barrets then places like boots usually

Last time i got mine was £5.22 for 28 sachets in holland barrets.

I have to take 3 a day so i stock up

Wow that is reasonable! I could probably do with taking them on a regular basis anyway, what with being veggie and all.

Is it recommended you take an iron supplement whilst breastfeeding too, does that diminish your levels like pregnancy does?

I think baby takes all the iron they need during pregnancy to last them the first 6 months.

Surely it doesn't work that fast? I asked my MW when I'd start to feel better after upping my iron levels and she said it takes a week or two minimum for the extra iron to be transformed into haemoglobin to carry oxygen round the body. I'm glad you all have such good reviews of Spatone though. I have been trying to up my iron by diet since iron supplements upset my tummy, and eating that much red meat has been upsetting my tummy anyway (though nowhere near as much as iron supps do!) and I might try Spatone to see if that's any easier on me.

Spatone does work alot quicker then the tablets at building iron back up.

It was dietary iron (specifically from meat) we (MW and me) were talking about, which should be faster absorbed than supplements of any kind. But it isn't how fast it's absorbed, it's how fast your body can turn it into haemoglobin that matters, isn't it? If the tiredness and dizziness are because of a lack of haemoglobin that has to be manufactured by your body using the iron, which takes time.
