Hey guys,

up untill recently my little girl wore a body harness because she was born with a dislocated hip so I couldnt lie her on her tummy. Problem is now she refuses to, she gets really upset anytime I lie her that way. Im getting a little worried she is getting behind because she can't really lift her off the ground when on her tummy that well or roll over yet, and she won't lie there for more than 30 secs without getting upset, I only try once a day cos I don't like her being upset.

I was just wondering how long each day you all put your little ones on their tummies for and if they enjoy it? and if you think she is behind? she just turned 4 months.

Loads of babies hate being on their bellies. She's fine. When she wants to get arounf she'll find a way x

Every baby is different, some may crawl late but walk early, etc. And some are just plain lazy! If she wasn't allowed on her tummy for so long no wonder she doesn't like it, she's not used to it yet. I'd try just putting her on her tummy more often (not longer, even just 30 sec is ok) just try to do it a few times a day for a few secs and eventually she will get used to it. Good luck.

katie hates it too, but gradually the time she's on her tum's gettin longer. try puttin her on her tum after every bum change, even if its just for 10 secs. she'll get used to it and come o expect it so it wont be so bad for her xx

chloe wouldnt tolerate being on her tummy until she could roll onto it herself then there was no stopping her- she rolled for the first time at 5.5 months.

I wouldnt worry, keep trying, she will get there

Renah just learned to do it this past week & she's almost 4 months too. She'll do it when she's ready

I agree, you should be putting her on her belly more often and for shorter periods of time, gradually extending them. Good luck!

Exactly what i was gonna say:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:
