Woke up at 5am and couldnt get back to sleep so i turned my alarm off (set for 6am) and got up to get ready. Got our little girl up and ready at 6am. My mum picked us up at 06:30am and we dropped emily off at her gran and grandads house on the way. We were there for 07:00am (meant to be there at 07:30am) and i got all gowned up and got blood pressure etc took while we waited for theatre. Went to theatre at 9am and got the local anesthetic inserted into my back (stingiest jab ever) followed by the spinal. It was such a strange feeling, my whole body was immediately numb and my whole body was tingling with pins and needles! i was so nervous i couldnt stop shaking! My mum came into theater with me. My OH asked her if she wanted to go in with me as he got to come in at our daughters birth and where i would of preferred him at the birth i wasnt too bothered just as long as someone was with me when it happened! I barely felt a thing, i felt pins and needles more than anything else! Felt a tiny pulling sensation as he pulled out of me but barely noticable!
Nathan Ramsay Stewart was born 09:36am weighing in at 8lbs 3oz at 38+4 weeks! We are both home safe and sound after spending 4 days in the hospital due to him having a small heart murmur and we had to stay in an extra day to have his little heart scanned but everything was perfectly fine... here's my boy!

im not sure if it is rare or not but my daughter was also lifting her up this way while we were in the recovery room lol, her head bobbed up and down but he managed to hold his head up for a good couple of minutes while this picture was being taken xx
