Kinda unrelated but don't know whaty to say

So I have a friend whose also a single mom. Daughters dad isn't in the picture and I'm her only close friend.

Last week she found out her sister was sexually assaulting her daughter . Her parent and her sister are her only family and now her parent have turne there backs and are siding with the sister who denies doing it

The police are investigating and she and her daughter are seeing a counselor .


I just don't know how to help. She's aske me to be there for her but I do t know what to say. I'm close and have known her daughter since she was born so it hit me hard so I can't imagine how she is feeling.

Is there somewhere I can go so I know what to say, I do t want to say the wron thing .

Oh wow, I didn't want to read and run. You may get a bigger audience in 'home life and relationships' and that forum is private so guests can't view it. I honestly don't know what to say, you're in an awful situation. I think you're just going to have to offer your friend some support, an ear if she needs it x

Just be there for her and provide all the support you can. Sometimes in a horrible situation such as this, it helps the victims just knowing there are close friends to talk to, people they can rely on to help etc. I'm sure if your friend needs you to do anything specific for her she'll ask, so don't worry. I'm really sorry about the situation she and her daughter are in, it sounds awful. Big hugs xx
