My head is spinning with all of the rules about what you should and shouldn't have during pregnancy. I know there are certain kinds of fish you're not supposed to have, but I get so confused. There is a place here that sells fried fish and it's to die for, but I can't even remember what kind of fish it is and I don't want to go in there only to discover I can't have it.

Here's some good advice:

I think the only things to avoid are fish with high Vitamin A like Tuna and swordfish. But other types are recommended as are great for you and bubs xx

Even tuna is ok as long as you don't over do it. Its a couple of can or 1 tuna steak.

hmm, that is a tough one, as with this LO my biggest craving is sushi. My DR. says that sushi is safe to eat if its from a very good establishment, so I'd think fish would be ok so long as it wasn't anything too exotic like shark fin or too much of tuna. but again the DR would be the best person to ask, as there are a lot of conflicting stories out there.

Vitamin A doesn't have much to do with it. It's mercury you want to watch out for, definitely avoid Tuna, swordfish and other big fish. Smaller fish are okay.

Arh yes, sorry Vit A is to do with pate and liver, the advice over here is tuna and swordfish no more than two portions a week x
