i'm 26wks +2 and I started knitting when i was around 11 and really didn't get into making different projects other then scarves till i found out i was pregnant. i'm having a hard time finding creative things to make for my daughter that does not involve clothing. I've made here baby blanket, a pair of booties, 2 hats, a toy thats a stuffed fish (which i thought was so awesome), right now i'm making a hammock/sling (still experamenting with this one), and i'm going to be making a sock puppet (found a bright orange fuzzy sock laying around my house so i thought that would be cool). Does any one have any ideas? I bought way to much yarn when i went to make her baby blanket so i'm trying to find ways to use it before she gets here.

have a look on youtube x thats where i found a load of crochet stuffs x

ive joined up to a website called ravelry basically it has knitting patterns, crochet and even cross stich. Some patterns you pay for but if you browse and enter the free box and baby patterns there is loads to choose from :) x

Thank you, I'm just having such a hard time coming up with any thing that isn't clothing. Its driving me nuts :haha:

When I was pregnant with DD1 I knit her a christmas stocking and embroidered her name at the top. I found the pattern in a library book, but I'm sure you could find one online. It was really fun and special to pull out each year. I need to make one for this baby too before Christmas!

lol thats a great idea :D that makes me think of her halloween costume. Its kind of tradition in my family that i love to dress all babies for their first holloween at a pumpkin, i just don't have the right colors for either of these projects yet.

For baby gifts, I have knitted baby cocoons and they have always been a big hit. I plan on knitting some for this baby.

Are you on Ravelry? This is the pattern I have used that I really like.

Here's one of the ones I made and my little nephew wearing it. :D It's a free pattern. I'd be happy to email it to you if you want to PM me your email address. :)
