I was just wondering if you guys think labor pain or MC pain is the same or different. I have had four miscarriages and four births. My MC that where below 5 weeks where not that painful but the MC of 12 weeks was similar to early labor pains and this one too it feels like early labor pains and at times gets quite painful. In a way I think MC are worse because it is emotionally more difficult.

I miscarried my daughter naturally at 13weeks, 4 days. It started as bad.cramps but as it progressed I could only describe it as labour. The very end wasnt as bad as a full term baby as there is no pushing, just pressure. But the pain of contractions was definitely the same as labour.

I have had two deliveries and one mmc, I had pain in upper stomach for 3 days before I opted for d and C and it was way worse than labor as the pain was consistant and not like contractions for me. I think mc is more emotionally draining as all the pain is for nothing good as in the outcome, at least with labor you get a baby at the end....

Thanks for this insight. I have had five miscarriages and no live births but had a mmc at 8 1/2 weeks which was detected at 12 week + scan. I opted to mc naturally (big mistake) and had what I can only describe as labour pains when my mc started. I thought I could cope with the pain at first but had to call for an ambulance and was given morphine after g&a (which did nothing but make me drowsy).
