Labor signs

Hi am lost and would like help and 23 am 27 weeks pregnant and I think I maybe having signs of labor
I have only got into labor once as all my others I was made to going into labor before 40 weeks

I have been having the signs listed below
-An increase of vaginal discharge
-Menstrual like cramping
-Increase in pressure in the pelvic area
-Low back pain or pressure, or a change in the nature of lower backache
-Swelling or puffiness of the face or hands
-Feeling sick or being sick
-Intense pelvic pressure

Please any help anyone could give me would be great thanks

If you are worried and having those happening call your nurse/after hrs # or go to the hospital! Not long ago I had to talk my friend into going and was was in labor and baby was dropped! She was like 20 weeks and had an app like2 days b4 and baby was high and everything. But better safe then sorry!

Also is your tummy getting hard at all?

I did have some of these around your stage of pregnancy but not as intense as you describe. Probably best to phone your doctor hun just to put your mind at ease xx

Drink a full glass of water and lay on your left side for an hour. If you still have contractions (contractions are also tightning of the abdomen along with the cramp feelings) then you need to go in and be seen to determine if you're in preterm labor or not. Sometimes women will confuse preterm labor with braxton hicks (which do not do anything other than make you crampy). Increase in vaginal discharge is normal and common in pregnancy, but if it's bloody, that is a concern.

The swelling of hands and face concerns me. That is not a sign of preterm labor, however, that is a sign of pre-eclampsia which pregnancy complication of high blood pressure. That needs to be checked out so I would encourage you to either go to the hospital for a check or atleast call your medical care provider.

Hi thank u all I have been so busy with being in and out of hospital and my four kids I just wanted to let you all know I went in to hospital just after posting as I could not take the pain any more I was told I had preeclampsia but it was only stages so they have helped a lot and got me to 39 weeks am so happy I will be going into day to have baby not sure how I feel Lol head all over the place can't sleep but again thank you all for your help and thoughts x
