Hi, i think i may get a better response in here so here goes!! Bear with me it's a long one!!
Basically i've been FF sma gold from about 2 days old, he wouldn't latch on to BF. He was doing really well, regular poo's but quite a windy baby, had to use infacol and gripe water, he struggled quite bad with it. I started weaning at just over 4 months and things have gone downhill with his milk.
He had persistant diahroea for a good few weeks so i changed his food around (i make my own veggie purees), stopped his solids but nothing helped. I was changing around 8 dirty full nappies per day. Took him to the docs and sent a sample off, reults said no infection, i mentioned how my partner was recently diagnosed with LI about 2 years ago. They said they couldn't positively test for it???
He's getting better with his poos as i changed him to aptamil about a month ago but it's as if drinking his milk is really hurting him. He'll get a few ounces down and really battle with me to drink the rest. He also farts quite alot and again struggles to do this while he's drinking. I really wonder if he's developed LI like his dad. He;s only on 2 solids a day at the minute, nothing different to what i started with, with up to 4 bottles (i make 7oz but he only usually takes 5) a day.
I really worry as it seems to be hurting him to take his milk and don't want to put him through anything if i can change his milk to something more comforting.
Sorry for the long post but i need some advice. Can i buy Lactose free milk at the shops and try him with it or would this affect him in any way???
I'm kinda reaching a standstill so any comments would be appreciated.
Thanks
