Okay so after 2 trips to the doctors and being rushed to the hospital on one occasion, and after speaking to my HV, she thinks Mia may be lactose intolerant.
We've had Infacol, Gripe water, Infant gaviscon and Coleif to try, neither having a sucess.
So now shes talking about lactose intolerance.
Mia is gaining a good weight, but shes coming to see me again friday to discuss this with me.

Just wondering if anyones babies is Lactose intolerant and what milk do you use? :flower:
xx

My oldest was, we had to use Similac Lactose Free formula. Guessing you aren't in the US though since you have an HV. Hope you can find something that works for her!

If it makes you feel a little better, he outgrew the intolerance at about 6mo and was able to go back onto regular formula and now at 7 has no issues with dairy at all :)

Over here they'd usually advise you to try a comfort formula, as it has considerably lower lactose than others, however it doesn't work for some lactose intolerant LOs, there are lactose free formulas also, I think SMA make one. If your little one ended up in hospital because of this though, there may be a problem with casein as well and there are special prescription only formulas for those babies.

My LO is lactose intolerant. He is on SMA lactose free on prescription, he's a totally different baby since we changed his formula. He was on Aptimal comfort before the change and it didn't help at all. Hope you find it helps x
