My LO is on Aptamil comfort due to her horrible reflux. Generally she has been okayish on that milk, with the expeption of having a poo every two to three days and the very occasional spit up.

However, it has been 2 weeks that my baby started fussing on the bottle severly and she has almost developed a food adversion as well as diarhea! A lot of mucus and yellow seedy watery poo ( sorry TMI). She used to drink the milk with a lot of appetite, now she takes the bottel of rolls it around her tongue and after 20mls she starts fussing and crying and all sorts!

Does your LO have lactose intolerence, and do hte above signs sound familiar? what were the symptoms for you?:nope:

Thank you

Sounds simaler to Lily she has been on lacto free milk for 3 months and tbh shes sick less fusses less but still refuses to take much ...i thinks she assiotiated milk with poorly tum and sick ...go to your gp and voice your concerns

sounds like mirren was - we tried cow and gate comfort milk which did help a bit cos that is lactose reduced, but since starting soy formula she's tons better! She still spits up a bit, but not like before and she smiles with it! lol

I would see your GP there is different formulas to try it may not be the lactose shes allergic to, Adi is allergic to the milk proteins and lactose, he was tried on soya milk but he is also allergic to that as well.

Our Alex got awful runs with aptamil, he would poo upto 8 times a day, it was all slimey, runny and greenish. Once we changed to Cow & Gate he is doing much better.

Hi everyone thank you for your posts thoughtI'd give you an update

Christina went through this phase for two weeks, within those two weeks she ate very little and had lots of stringy mucusy poos. Even when she pumped poo would come out and it was yellow seedy runny and mucusy. Smelled awful as well. also her poo was so acidic that gave her burns on her foufou and bum, even though I changed her straight away!

The last 3 days she started eating normal again, and her poo has returned to normal as well which gives me the impression that she went through a virus such as gastroenteritis hence the terrible side effects.

She does no longer fight the bottle she actually guzzles it down, making up for the lost feeds. Funningly enough she didnt loose any weight but didnt put any either, her tummy looks less bloated though.

Comes to show that sometimes its better to wait a bit before taking any serious action

xx

Aww glad to hear she's feeling better hun :) Must be a big relief! It does sound like it could have been a viral thing, they can hang around for ages! :hugs:

I really think it was a virus, a terrible one! :hugs: so happy my baby feels better now :hugs:
