ladies that have conceived with clomid with a higher BMI !!

Hi ladies

im on clomid , with a BMI of 32 now after losing 2 and a half stone before my FS would allow me to go on it .

im due for af from today but have done some research online and found a few sites that say that if you have a BMI over 25 you have less chance of conceiving !!

is there any ladies with a higher BMI that has conceieved fine with clomd??

I was prescribed Clomid with a BMI of 31-32. FS said there is a lesser chance on conceiving but not a great amount.

I've got my BMI down to 28 since I started and still not got there. Only got two rounds left. Fingers crossed for you. X

i got preg at 35 bmi with clomid on my second cycle. it does seem to have less effect for bigger women, I had to start on 100mg rather than 50 as usual but ive read people of 44 bmi ovulating on it.

Hello ladies, I am also in the same boat, trying to conceive #2, i have a 4 yr old, currently taking clomid cd2-6, n also have a blocked tube. my BMI is 31 , i think, trying to lose the weight but its not easy. Good luck to u ladies, hope u will all have BFPs soon

I'm glad you asked this!!

My BMI is 32-33 at the moment but would only have to lose 17lbs to get it to 30, (hahaha only 17lbs!!!)

I'm waiting for AF before i can start clomid but i;m yet to ovulate this month.

I've read all sorts on the web about clomid from it won't work with a bmi over 25 or people with a BMI over 40 who have gone private been given clomid and got pregnant.

When i was at the hospital last week in the waiting room there was a woman who kept going out every 15 minutes for a smoke and had what looked like a drug addled partner, now I'm more than sure they won't be made to feel 2 feet tall for smoking as i did for having a high BMI.

I really feel like doctors have to draw the line something with the 'free' treatment so have chose the bmi cut off. And as if it's free i've paid NI and tax for 17 years surely i'm entitled to help!!

sorry rant over.

Hope clomid works for you than you can shove your bfp test up the doctors nose!!!

hi all im 12 dpo and the symtpoms i have been getting for about 3 days is bad bad headaches feeling sick, sore gums mouth ulcers and very very tired im currently on my 3rd round of clomid at 100mg i dont wana test yet has im so fed up with seeing bfns! lol thanks x

I am currently 25 weeks pregnant after taking 2 rounds of clomid 50g & I have a BMI of 31! It took 2.5 years & a lap & dye operation to get pregnant!

hi ladies ! its lovely to hear all your sucess stories! have finished my second round of clomid tablets and just waiting to ovulate ! dont think i have yet as am only on CD13. but yesterday had some slippery clear stuff and my cervix is high and kind of tilted so maybe im close !! haha .

other than that noT a BFP in sight this end fingers crosed for this cycle !

I have not conceived on clomid but even though I have a very high BMI I did ovulate on 100mg. Having said that I conceived naturally as well despite high BMI. I think they like to blame everything on high bmi even if you have no other signs associated with being overweight.

YES!! keep trying my BMI is 42 and i conceived 1st time on Clomid ( its still very early days but everything looking good)

this is really old but just thought id add I had bmi of 38 and conceived second month so it can happen good luck ladies x

My BMI is 39 and I ovulated on my first round of clomid at only 25mg. It wasn't a great follicle and nothing came of it, but it shows that you don't have to be smaller to respond to clomid. I'm taking a month off now to get rid of a cyst, but I'm hoping it will only take another month or two now that I know clomid works for me.
