Ladies who have birthed at a midwife led unit

I don't want an epidural at the most I'm hoping just to use has and air again. Everyone seems to have lotsa positive things to say about midwife led units! Just hope when I do go into labour they have a room for me as there are only 4!!!

 I'm hoping to go into the n&n midwife led unit too.
I had a good experience in the delivery suite with number 1 but hated the overnight stay and the midwifes were nice but really rushed and it was noisy.
As this is number 2, I know what I'm doing, I know I don't want an epidural, and i think it will prob be quick as number 1 was. I've chosen the MLU. I'm glad now after reading this.
Just hope I make it in time and would like a water birth too!

Yeah it's defo help confirm my want to use the unit. I don't have any complaints from the labour ward but seeing as I don't want epidural and I want a water birth the unit sounds perfect. I'm looking forward to it!!! Xx

When are you due? Trying to work It out from your ticker. May time? Do you know what you are having?

You are before me anyway so you will have to let me know what it's like!

I started in one until bubba turned and pooped.

But it was amazing, my hospital was known for not being the best...but the centre was amazing, huge room, own bathroom, mood lighting, relaxing music, huge bath, bouncy ball, and birthing chairs...just fab!!

Deff hoping to start and finish in there next time.

Kaths I'm due 16th may. 11 weeks today! I'm team yellow again. Do you know? Hopefully ill have a lovely story for you!

Yes, I'm having another little boy :)
Wow 11 weeks doesn't sound long at all! I would love to hear a nice story because I was thinking maybe I should just stick with what I did last time as it went well but I like the idea of the MLU and I like that the hospital is right there just Incase there's an emergency.
Whereabouts in Norfolk are you? We're near Cromer so have a 40 minute drive too which worrys me! For some reason I have a feeling he's going to fly out :haha:

I'm in norwich so the hospital is like 15 minutes away. I like the fact it's in the hospital too so if there are any problems your already there. I want a water birth and like I said before I only want gas and air at the most so the mlu sounds great. They say its a whole lot quicker second time round so fingers crossed! Gonna have friends and family on stand by just encase!!!! Xxx
