Hello ladies,

Thank you all for your messages of support and because I know some you have your lap coming up I thought I'd share my story.

Didn't sleep much last night out of nerves. Kept waiting a while at the hospital (sparkling new NHS treatment centre - very posh!) but once I got in it went quite quickly. Anaesthetic felt really weird but didn't feel sick or anything. Woke up in a lot of pain and very tearful, felt a bit of a tit for crying! They gave me extra morphine which sorted it out. Given a sandwich and a drink and then hubbie came to pick me up. Been feeling light headed and very sore but I'm sure it will heal up soon.

The great news is that they found endometriosis and removed it. I had been having very painful periods and had reported this at the clinic but nobody had actually suggested endo. Up to now we have had totally unexplained infertility so its good to have a diagnosis. I can't wait for the cuts to heal and pain to subside so we can start BDing again. Could I really get my BFP for Christmas?

Thanks again for your support!

Don't worry about feeling silly for crying - whenever I have anaesthetic I wake up laughing unconrollably every time!

Glad to hear it went well - fingers crossed for a speedy recovery and a christmas :bfp:

So glad it went well for you! I'm telling you, your first cycle after lap will be like a dream...I had endo removed during mine in Sept, and my AF was sooooo different...almost pain free! And I no longer have debilitating back pain, low energy or painful BD. I hope you get your Christmas BFP!
