lap & dye in only 5 days time!

well i have just got a smiley face on my clearblue opk....should we dtd tonight or first thing in the morning b4 dh goes to work??? his sperm test last june was bad but improved by sept....we havent had it tested since ( gonna arrange it for next week!!) ....we usually dtd on smiley face day & day after but im thinking maybe we should just dtd in the morning as the egg lasts for 12-24 hrs doesnt it??? i think in an ideal world we would dtd both days but we were told to try & only do it every 2 or 3 days coz of the low count....

When the smiley face comes it doesn't mean the egg has come - but that it will come in the next 12 - 48 hours - so I say considering sperm do the smiley face day and skip a day and do it again.

Hi - well what did you decide to do - did you DTD last night or this am? Well either way I hope it works for you this month. Did you use the suringe?

I have my 2nd acupuncture session this evening and have finished a week of chinese herbs (which were all to do with helping the blood flow etc - so hopefully helping the spotting and periods - i'll not know if they worked for a few weeks til AF arrives).

I went to a dinner party on Sat night with my friends and let it slip that Ive been trying for over 25 months - i wish i never said anything - i dont want them telling other people and them all talking about me saying "poor girl must be infertile"..... I wish i didnt open my mouth but I did. Hopefully i'll get pregnant this month or next so I dont have to go through another year of them asking me "so any luck yet"... And one of my friends started trying this month (shes very open about it) and shes already having pains and funny feelings so she probably caught the egg 1st time round - which makes me soooo jealous but I wish i didnt feel like that - i should feel happy for her but im struggling.

Anyway I'll spot babbling - good luck this month!

hi RebaRezzelba....dh wasnt keen on dtd this morning as he knew he would be up for work at 6am lol so we dtd last night!! we thought we would be really careful not to rub against my stitches from the lap & managed to dtd fine without the syringe.....hadnt dtd (with syringe) since sat morning so im hoping there was a good count of spermies last night lol.....my dilema is now when should we dtd?? i know we prob should wait til at least 2moro nite so the sperm replenish but if i got my smiley face yesterday morning then 2moro night may be too late hey?? im gonna try & persuade dh to dtd either tonight or in the morning he he....

ive managed to persuade him to get his sperm tested again & he booked an appointment for next thurs as long as we have the results by 3rd march for our iui consultation i will be happy!

thats great ur keeping up with the acupuncture sessions...maybe i should give it a go!! do you take vit b complex?? i take 50mg every morning & i dont know if its that or the clomid but my last af had no spotting b4 it & previously i had been getting spotting for like 4 days b4 af

Im sorry you regret spilling the beans on u ttc.....its so hard isnt it, 99% of my friends & family know we have been ttc a long time too, dh mum guessed as i was going to the hospital appointments quite a lot ( seeing the fs) ....its hard when dh's sister is round dh's mum's as she has a 5 mth old baby & i know every time i look at my dh's mum she is prob thinking 'poor thing shes prob so jealous'. Its weird but when i see babies im not that jealous, im worse when i see pregnant women.....or when i first find out that some one else is preg....find that very hard to deal with...i know about 10 babies that are due between now & july....does get me so down but our day will come too im sure of it RebaRezzelba

im really hoping the acupuncture & herbs do the trick for you this mth, i have a feeling it will u know!!!

Hi there

I hope you right - I was just on another thread about TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) and all the girls on there are going to acupuncture. 2 girls so far have got a BFP and the weird thing is they are both from Belfast and are going to the same clinic as me.... I really hope the chinese doctor I seeing is a miracle worker - im feeling very positive after reading that.... please please let this be our month.

Its hard waiting every 2nd day to DTD - i had planned a weekend of DTD and taking monday off and staying in bed all day (never really did that before so thought it was worth a try) but turns out we have visitors (my DH's 2 nieces) so my idea is out the window. They arrive sat morning so we can DTD fri night, then very quietly sun night or leave it til Mon afternoon after we put them on the bus back home. I should be Ov'ing mon (day 16) but with the Acup im not sure if I will Ov earlier or not - dont want to miss it this month. I should really buy some OPK's (might see if DH will buy me them - im out a fortune already on acup).

I really hope this is your month too -

Hi - So any signs/symptoms? You are about 8DPO at this stage arent you?

Yeah we managed a few sessions over the weekend even though DH's nieces were up. Hopefully they didnt hear anything......!!!!

Yesterday was Ov day for me I think - Day 16 - I had a few pains on Sun night and a few yesterday too - i dont have any OPK's and havent been taking temperature so dont know for sure but its been day 16 for past year so Im sure it was yesterday (unless the acupuncture changed it but doubtful). I have another acup session this evening too - interested to see where the needles will go this time as before she put them in my belly but dont think she will this eve. Ive been drinking the herbal stuff too (which is so disgusting and taking 8 tablets morning and night - so i hope they all work). On the TCM thread they have had another BFP from acupuncture - so its looking promising.

Ive cut out the drinking too - well not completely but alot less than before (use to have a glass of wine with dinner 3 or 4 times per week and then a few beers at the weekend - now i have practically nothing except for a half glass wine on Sat and a half yesterday - not even a have glass about 2 sips and I thought feck it Im not finishing this so DH drank it.... So im very proud of myself. With that and acup please let me get a BFP. I just need to just out the sweets now and refined carbs too - need to switch to brown everything (rice, pasta, bread etc).

Anyway keep me updated on your progress with getting a BFP....

glad u managed to dtd over weekend! sounds like u have covered it so lets hope u get ur bfp this mth!! thats fab u are cutting ur drink down, my dh is planning a night out at end of march with the boys, i havent let him drink since aug last year lol so i think he is allowed a night off, im bit concerned it may lower his count/make it less motile but think he deserves a night out. Im quite keen on going out with the girs that night too....the last 2 nights i have been out i didnt drink, just had orange lol....so im bit worried i may end up too drunk after just 2 glasses of my wine lol! even dreamt the other nite that we went out & i was so ill!! not a good sign. my dilema is that can i drink while taking clomid?? i havent had a drop since aug, started clomid at end of oct...dont wanna ruin the chances of us conceiving if i do drink in march on the night out but feel like i do need to let my hair down 4 1 nite. i think i will be on day 5 of cycle & i take clomid days 2-6 ....maybe i should ring my gp & ask.

yeah i am 8 dpo....no symptoms what so ever, i just cant imagine ever getting a bfp now....

I'm not sure whether you can drink on Clomid or not - i'd def ring the doctor to find out for sure. But i think if you have a big meal and eat while drinking then there should be no harm in one or 2 or even 3 glasses of wine - let your hair down - it might be what you need to take your mind of this TTC carry on! My DH hasnt been off the drink but to be honest he doesnt drink that much - only when he has a boys night out which is rare - mind you there is one coming up at start of March (and he had one at end of Jan too)

I know how you feel about never seeing a BFP - I feel like that too - but im trying to think positively - I've been reading a book on TCM too and there is a checklist that you tick off and it can diagnose what type of problem you have and it basically listed all my problems (so i have a Kidney Yang deficiency and a Spleen deficience too - cold hands and feet/spotting/frequent urination during night/worry/bowel problems - loads more that i cant rem but when I was reading it I was thinking thats me completely) so Im hope this acupincture helps - if you dont get a BFP this month then you should def consider going - on the TCM thread they had another BFP this weekend. One of the girls was trying for 7 years and she just got a BFP.

well im pregnant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so happy!!!!!! not due on til tues but had 3 strong positives yesterday & got 'pregnant 1-2 weeks' on the clearblue digital i did this morning!!! really think the lap & dye got us our BFP.....anyone going in for a lap & dye i sooooo recommend it!!! xx

OMG Im so happy for you - thats great news. They must of given your tubes a good clear out! Do you think it was the lap &dye or the Clomid? Either way I think I might need to have a lap done cos I cant imagine seeing the BFP anytime soon unless the acup works (please please make it work).

my fs rang this morning & has said she is sending me a date for an early scan...to check for twins as i was on clomid! im still so excited & it hasnt sunk in im pregnant....i am just so worried something will go wrong, you hear about all these m/c......really hope mine is a sticky bean xx
