I'm so frustrated, finally had my lap & dye on Tuesday (still sore!) and they found nothing, nothing at all. My tubes are fine and there were no adhesions as suspected.

The doctor thinks I haven't ovulated this month and wants to scan me again through this cycle to make sure I am actually ovulating (although blood tests and ovulation kits say I am...) so I'm just frustrated as to where I now go from here?

IVF hasn't yet been mentioned but after reading up on it I've seen that funding is usually granted after the cause of infertility has been diagnosed. So what about us unexplained's? I've had blood tests, oh has had all the tests, I've had scans, and I thought the lap & dye would finally give me some answers but it hasn't : (

Sorry to rant, just feeling a bit down, doesn't help that AF came the day after the lap so I'm feeling a bit tender!

I'm sorry! I know all about the frustration with being unexplained! I want to be told a reason! I am going to ask about a lap when I go back to the RE next month. It's prob a waste for me too because they will prob say everything is fine. I do hope you get an answer soon though. :( Have you done IUI?

We haven't yet no, I think the doctor/specialist/fertility chap wanted to go through all the necessary checks before any sort of resolve is mentioned. It's horrible not knowing a reason though isn't it?
I really hope something happens naturally soon and the IVF route isn't one to go down, especially as they only offer one cycle on the NHS where I live.

Extremely horrible and frustrating! How long have you been trying?

has your partner had Semen analysis yet?

I have gone through all sorts of testing and wish we had done the SA sooner (we've been TTC almost 2years now) and my insurance covers NOTHING fertility related..

I hope you get answers soon

sorry i just read post more carefully..... ignore my comment about SA

best of luck

So sorry you're going through all of this. I'm unexplained secondary infertility....we've been trying for 9 years. It sounds horrible to wish something was wrong, but I wish they had been able to find something so it could just be fixed!!

Hi Moose,Yeah he did have an SA done but they didn't give a specific number, just that everything was "fine" so I'm still not too sure what we're working with!

Chris- We've been actively trying for around 15 months but 18 months before that was the "if it happens it happens" mentality so almost three years now without precaution.

Popchick, I know its awful to wish something wrong, it's just horrible to think I'm a healthy 25 year old, I don't smoke, I don't really drink, I'm a healthy weight but I still can't conceive :growlmad: !

grrr vent central
