Hi every

Had my lap yesterday. The FS came to see me (after I had cried and demanded some feedback - he wasn't going to!) and told me that he had treated endo between my uterus and bladder and also a filial cyst on my left fallopian tube. I am going to have another appointment which will prob be in 3months knowing the NHS!

I had a bad reaction to the anaesthetic and was out of it when talking to the fs. Does the fact that he has treated my endo mean it is gone now? Will it come back? Does that improve my fertility? Are filial cysts normal and what causes them? ARGGGGHHHHHH!!!! Nobody ever seems to want to give me any info. Countless doctors have told me I am fine and I knew full well I wasn't - it's sooooo frustrating! Any advice would be welcome xxx

sadly endo will come back as long as you have periods :)i was told in noc i had endo and my tube was stuck to my bowel. he will have removed as much as he can

alot of people concieve with endo,it depends how bad yours is and whaich organs have been affected.

my left tube is blocked hence i have started IVF

Alot of people also get bfp after lap
i dont know about the cysts sorry
so try to keep positive, i know its hard. he should have given you more answers today!

sorry didnt wana read and run as im having a lap and dye hopefully at the end of jan.....from what ive been told endo will come back....i know many people that have had to have many laps over years as it returns unfortunately......i think certain contraceptive pills can help....obviously doesnt help tho til after we have had our babies....hope u have a speedy recovery and get a lovely bfp soon xx

Thanks ladies!

Feeling really sore and grumpy! Hope it was worth it! Feel like screaming at my fs sometimes!

I have had 2 laps in the past year. Endo will come back if you continue to ovulate. The lap does treat it for awhile, so a lot of endo people fall preggers within 6 months of the surgery. My last lasp was in Nov 09. I started fertility treatments the month right after the surgery. I had endo on all the same parts, and I had an endometrioma on my left ovary. They removed the entire cyst, so it may take awhile for that ovary to function properly.

I am currently taking fertility drugs and doing IUI. It looks like IVF will be my next step if this month does not work out.

On a positive note: I know several people who have conceived with endo. Now, it does depend on the stage of your endo. Did they say what stage of endo you have? One is the best, and four is the worst.

Good luck!! PM me if you have any further questions.

Hiya

My fs didn't say what stage at all. I asked if it was mild and he looked distracted at this point but seemed to nod in agreement. I was so out of it I don't really know if I got that right. I don't mean to be horrid about my fs as he has done some good things for me at times. But honestly - I really have had to diagnose myself and push for everything. I will probably have to wait a lifetime for my next appointment and then he will probably get fed up with me asking questions (as he usually does)!!!

Good luck with your IVF Muncho. And Dancingkaty I hope your lap helps you on your journey. I really hope we all get out BFPs soon.

Bebecake - good luck with IUI. I wonder f something like that will be offered to me now. I am 36 so time is running out for me (so annoying that I was referred to the fs 14 months ago - only to be given a load of tests I didn''t need and to be told I was fine when I clearly wasn't!)

Thanks for all your help ladies. xxxx

Endo will come back and normally within 6 months so if you fear you will not be seen for 3 months then get trying as soon as youi can. I had a lap and was discovered i had 2 blocked tubes and pcos. I was told i would never conceive and would need to go on ivf waiting list. My 1st appointment was meant to be last month. But i conceived naturally. I think the lap cleared things out for me. Hopefully you will be as lucky.
