Hi ladies! I hate that we're all in the same LTTC boat together- but at least we have each other to ask/consult with. I have a laparoscopy scheduled May 3rd, which will be CD 24 for me. If hubby and I have been DTD regularly during ovulation, well pretty much all month; should I be concerned about the lap hurting any possible implantation? I mean, we've been ttc for over a year so...the odds are not in my favor! And I know I shouldn't have been ttc if I knew there would be a possiblility of a conflict..but I couldn't help it. Still hoping we'll get a natural bfp :( does anyone know how early a blood test can confirm hcg?

And yes, I know y'all aren't doctors, and I plan on calling but just wanted to see if you ladies had any suggestions?

Hmm, well is m scheduled for a hycosy on may 13 th which will be cd 26 and they told me explicitly NOT to TTC until after then. Not so bad for me as I have long cycles so chances are I won't ovulate before then anyway, but the point it, yes the lap could absolutely interfere. How many dpo will you be on that day? I suppose blood test going positive wild depend on when you implant (if you are pregnant).....it shows up a couple of days later I think.

Any possibility of postponing the lap until after AF (if she comes)?

I believe they will do a pregnancy test just to be sure right before the surgery. I had mine mid cycle as well. But you could always call the doctors office and see if it would be a conflict doing the surgery mid-cycle.

Hi, I had a pregnancy test before lap and they said it was because of them doing the hsg at the same time they didnt want to flush anything out of tubes that might be there, my cycles were so long theru was no chance of me knowing if I had ovulated or not anyway, good luck!

Thank you ladies. Like I said, I doubt that a bfp would happen but the thought crossed my mind! Thank you, and fingers crossed all is well so we can move on to IUI or other options!

Good luck on your lap!

I am to have a lap and hysteroscopy scheduled soon and my doc's office said they will schedule it for CD 6-12. If they can't schedule it then, then they said they would put me on the pill to stop ovulation until it was done. So I guess they do all they can to make sure there isn't a chance of pregnancy before the procedure.

Ugh! That would've been nice to be told! My dr never tells me anything important. I will call and ask!
