Hi everyone,

I've been TTC for almost 3 years now with not one single positive pregnancy test in that time.

I saw a fertility expert in December and they suspected two issues. The first was that I had an underactive thyroid which I am now on thyroxine for.

The second was endo - this week I had my lap and dye done. The surgeon found moderate endo and was able to get rid of most of it and he said my tubes were fine.

I'm currently at home recovering but am sat here wondering what will happen now.

Has anyone conceived after their lap and dye? Did anyone have to have any other treatment afterwards?

I am just looking to chat to anyone who has had a lap and dye done to find out their experience.

Thanks

I had one done. But had an usual experience of not ovulating on my own since :/ treatment after has been clomid and now iui! Good luck I've heard of many getting pregnant if they fixed stuff during your surgery!

Hi waitingongod1,

Was it the laparoscopy that stopped you ovulating? I've never heard of that before, what did your doctor say about it?

Best of luck with the IUI. Fingers crossed for us both.

That is the only reason I can think of. Doctors just say that it's interesting haha. I'm over it. It led me to use clomid sooner and getting help. Yes! Good luck!

Hi there.

Just wanted to share my experience with you. My husband and I had tried for 10 months before seeing an RE. Three days after meeting with our RE for the very first time, they called and delivered the news that the doctor wanted to do surgery due to suspected endometriosis. So, I went back on birth control and had surgery a month later....just two weeks before our one year mark of ttc. I had stage 2 (almost stage 3 by the scores) endo and had polyps and adhesions removed. Doctor thought we'd get pregnant pretty quickly. He wanted to do clomid/IUI immediately but my husband and I thought we'd try two months naturally first. We did clomid and trigger in December with a bfn. January we couldn't get to the RE for treatment, February we did clomid, trigger and IUI. Found out Tuesday that this last cycle didn't work either. Starting clomid on Saturday and will give it another shot.

Hi
Hope you've recovered well from your op.
We didn't manage to conceive post lap, infact it was so bad that it all grew back in 5 months and I had to have another lap before I could have IVF.
To cut a long story short we finally got IVF and we were lucky enough to fall pregnant first time. She was our only embryo left though, nothing frozen for later.
Good luck
Em xx

Just wanted to offer some hope. After 3 years ttc, I had a lap and die. My endo was stage 4 severe... 94 points.. normal stage 4 is around 40 points I think. My tubes were fine. We had 2 unmedicated IUI cycles beginning the month immediately after the lap. We got our sweet baby girl that is now 2 from that IUI. If you have any other questions, let me know.
