Has anyone had a laproscopy? And how long did it take you to recover? Not fully, but like how long did it take for you to just walk around the house even?

I have mine Dec. 18th = they're doing the laproscopy and an in-depth HSG while I'm under where they're actually going inside my tubes. Yikes!

Hoping for no endo, and no issues so I can start clomid and maybe make my body ovulate!

Hey

I had a lap and diagnosis and removal of endo back in feb. I was in hospital 2 nights coz I had a drain in and needed stronger pain killers.

I was able to walk around the house as soon as I got home just had to take it slow and not bend down too much. I had 3 weeks off work including the week of the lap, I could have gone back after 2 weeks but I'm a nurse and 13hra on my feet wouldn't have been good.

I'm back on the theatre waiting list now too have it all done again :( should be done in January.

Oh wow!! That does not sound like a good experience! I am hoping that I don't end up having to stay, that will be horrible :( They say it's an out-patient procedure, so if all goes well I'll go home that afternoon.

I work from home, so I just took two days off because I can work just laying in my bed with the computer rolled over to me LOL. I am really hoping that I don't need additional time off, but just in case since I am almost out of vacation and sick time for the year, I filed for FMLA so I at least won't lose my job.

Why do you have to have it done again?!

After my lap they told me it was very severe, but to ttc naturally for 6 months the. Go to a fertility specialist if nothing had happened.

I saw the fertility consultant 5 n half months after the lap and he did an internal ultrasound and found anoth cyst that was 5 cm on one of my ovaries. It's grown since then. They won't do IVF with a cyst more than 4cm, so I have to have a lap n remove all the endo again. In on a temporary drug to put me in the menopause until IVF so endo won't grow back between op and IVF.

I've been on theatre waiting list since August!

I just had my lap in October. Had the lap and dye transit with a hysteroscopy. Lap was done to determine blocked tubes. Tubes are open and all is fine. I could walk the same day it was just very tender, I swelled and bruised a lot but after a week I could walk faster and without it hurting when getting up from sitting to standing. By the end of 2 weeks I felt better! By 4 weeks post op I was 100% back to myself no more swelling or tenderness at all.

Well, that makes me feel a little better :) I have a 2nd job, and I only have two days off after the surgery - so I am hoping that with the pain pills, I will be OK to stand for 4 hours at a time. I won't have to do any lifting at all, thankfully. I am just going to have to suck it up and deal with it, being so close to CHristmas and having so much to do around the house and my step-daughter will be with us that week as well - I won't have time to lay around for long. I just have those two days and that is it.

I really hope all this is worth it .... I swear sometimes I think they just keep doing surgery and procedures to keep having to put off telling me to give up :( I just keep making myself stay positive though, as hard as that is!!

I had a lap and dye and hysteroscopy on Thursday and it wasn't as bad as i expected... I went into hosp at 745... Was in the ward by 830... The doc was stuck in traffic so only went into theatre at 1015 and was back in my ward by 1115! When i woke i was fine... No pain. No sickness. Just Groggy... They wheeled me back gave me some water and within half hour gave me some coffee.. I was so thirsty... By 1pm i was able to walk to the loo with my drip trolley... By 2.30 i was free to go home...
First night was sore... You get pain in your ribs and shoulders from the gas they pump in you and the only way i could get comfy was by staying propped up.. My actual tummy didn't hurt til the next day... Getting up and sitting down is the worst but just cos ur aware of it... Its not unbearable... The drugs they give you help a bit...
3 days on and im still tender but dressings are off.. I can shower without any trouble can walk around fine but im taking it easy cos i noticed some more bleeding and spotting so worried i may have overdone it yest (i don't do sitting still very well!!)
My advice is just to rest.. Don't try be super woman...
