Large Ads Keep Coming to Forefront

Just some feedback:

Whenever I go to a momtastic site now a giant Goodwrench ad fills the background and continually jumps to the forefront blocking my view of the site. It will often loudly start playing a video. I have to continually close it over and over. Even when the video is playing in the background it is very distracting. It is really making it difficult to use the site at all TBH.

To help further a screenshot would really be appreciated.

Ads should also be automatically muted so I'd like to have this resolved asap if you can help with that please?

Also could you confirm the device and browser you are using.

Everyone is getting obnoxious ads now on B&B. It cuts off 75% of my screen, the screenshot that I've added actually shows it as if it's only 1/2 the screen.

Most sites that have ads you can click the x and it will immediately disappear or move to the side. These ads don't. The moderators told us they can't do anything about it. One of my b&b threads all of the ladies are on fb and we've agreed to chat using fb now. I've also opened a new account on fertility friend. I can't sit and wait for the ads to get off my screen everytime the page refreshes on B&B. I've never seen this kind of aggressive advertising on any other site.

I am getting the same Goodwrench ad as posted above. The "close" button on it also does not work, although I am not getting any sound to worry about. It is somehow playing behind the forum page so that the sides of my screen are taken up with this flashing and moving. I am on a Mac using safari. Any advice would be appreciated.

This morning it was a video playing on top of another video and when I started the webpage at work the video was screaming on my computer. The girls on the threads that I'm subscribed to have figured out that they won't play on an ipad so we've made the switch to only using b&b on an ipad.

Wobbles, it's on every browser, I use firefox and ie latest versions. Are they going to get rid of these or is it b&b's new income generator? It's more of a virus/trojan site now if you ask me. Have they done any analysis on how much traffic b&b has lost? I bet this will have the most impact. They could have chosen a more tasteful way to advertise if they needed money that badly.

Are you saying this ad won't close?

Moderators should not be telling you there is nothing they can do about it? If the ad doesn't close or has auto sound I can definitely request the ad team look into and remove the offending ad. You need to post in the help and testing for me to see this information.

I could really have done with a screenshot of this also as the ad and the problem is different to the above you provided.

I have to use photoshop to save the image to desktop so I will try to do this at work-why do we need to do all of this just to address brand new annoying ads? They should know exactly what is going on since it just changed over the weekend. The donor egg thread had the same comments from other ladies about double video ads on top of each other and inability to close them using the x button, they all live in Britain, I live in Canada.

So far I haven't seen any change even though when I do a search there are loads of new complaints about the new ads. Wobbles are you saying you don't get pop up videos over taking your screen every time you refresh a page on b&b?

This time, the Goodwrench video ad went ontop of the other animated ad and I had to wait 30 seconds for the Goodwrench ad to close because the x button to close doesn't work and then once it went to the back (it never completely closes, it stays on in the background), the other ad that it was ontop was then covering the b&b content that I wanted to read. It had to be closed too.

For other Canadian users, I am on a Mac and just downloaded adblocker. Problem solved. Just wanted to offer a possible solution!

I downloaded ad blocker plus back when the site changed last time, but since the new change it hasn't been working. Any recommendations?

I have noted the tone of your posts and to be quite honest I won't be biting to it. I have taken your feedback and sent it to the relevant department.

Screenshots are most helpful for me to be able to see how these ad may be disruptive and sometimes without brand/company it can take longer to locate the offending add, different countries see different ads (one example), the screenshot can simply help speed up resolving the problem.

The tone = totally disappointed, irritated, frustrated and annoyed, not at you Wobbles, at B&B. I've had no response when I sent feeback to the tech issues email spot on B&B and had I not have access to professional graphic design software I wouldn't have been able to provide proof to you about what's happening.
Thank you for passing the information on, you're the only one who seems to be able to help and for that I'm very thankful. I've been on B&B for so long and to have so many issues just reading texts and being forced to leave because of something like this makes me just plain angry.
