Hi ladies, anyone else been diagnosed with a subchorionic hematoma?

I went along for an emergency scan yesterday after having some bleeding, baby is fine, active and measuring 12+3, fluid ok, but the SCH bleed covers half the sac.
Bleeding again now, quite heavy this time.

Worrying times!

Hello,

I am 11+2 with my second child. At 10 weeks I started bleeding and went to the ER. Had an ultra sound to discover the hemotoma it was moderate size. I was put on bed rest. Went back today and they said the hemotoma had gotten smaller but didn't tell me how much. From my understanding this is considered very common and most woman go on to have a normal pregnancy. Most hemotomas reabsorb by 20 weeks. Or so I am told. Sigh! In the same worried boat as you.

i had one at 12 weeks-ish. covered over 50% of the sack and was by the placenta. i only had one big bleed that sent me to the hospital, basicly it can cause a spontanious MC up to 28 weeks (if it was still there) in most cases they heal by 20 weeks. for myself i had regular scans, at my 20 week 5day ultrasound it was tiny...i did have a second bout of spotting around 30 weeks...baby has been doing great.

i rested, a lot. feet up*. ZERO heavy lifting including laundry baskets*

do your best to take er easy get as much rest feet up* as possible be extra sure to take your prenatals and iron suppliment.

my dr told me it was the most common cause of first trimester bleeding that is not an MC.
