Hello ladies!:flower:

My whole pregnancy I was certain on my little girls name but just recently I was browsing through names just to be sure I had seen everything, after all we can only name them once.....

I've now changed it to Elodie......a French name ( pronounced El-uh-dee)

It's uncommon here but very pretty can also be shortened to Elle or perhaps Ellie, just wondered if you had any ideas on a second name....I currently have
Elodie Bea picked out to go with Archie Alexander :flower:

PLEASE NO NEGOTIVITY towards my name choice I'd just like your input on the second name, keeping it friendly :hugs:

I love the name Elodie, it's always been a favourite of mine for a girls name

I'm not 100% sure about the Bea tho, if you say it out loud it's very rhymie. However using two names together is very uncommon unless they are hyphenated, so if you love it go for it!

I like it :) I'd probably pronounce it El-Oh-Dee on first glance but that might just be me

Very pretty! Is your OH and/or others on board with your name change?

Are you looking for a middle name for Elodie or a double-barreled first name?

Elodie Rose
Elodie Raine
Elodie Skye
Elodie Hope
Elodie Brielle
Elodie Violet
Elodie Jade
Elodie Willow

It's actually quite pretty and feminine. I like it.

Thank you everyone! It would be the middle name, I'm not going to double barrel it so when's she older she can have the choice to use both or not. OH likes it a lot more than Our original choice, I just thought that ELodie Bea sounds sweet when she younger but Elodie is very elegant on its own

Xxx

I loooove Elodie Bea. I think that is super gorgeous.

Elodie is very pretty :), I think that perhaps Elodie Beatrice sounds a bit more 'complete'. Other ideas:
Elodie Rose
Elodie Grace
Elodie Belle
Elodie Beau

I loooove the name Elodie <3 it's not common, but not unheard of either. And very feminine, pretty and melodic :) also like you said, there's lots of versions you can shorten it to.

Do you mind if I ask what your original choice was?

Originally it was going to be Lacey River George and I still like the name but Elodie like people have said is quite uncommon xx

Love the name!
My cousins name is Elodie and she always has people saying "oh what a lovely name"

My old boss has just named her daughter Elodie Bea and I really like it (its actually the second Elodie I know so it may becoming more popular now not sure if that matters to you)

No that won't stop me! There's always going to be a name that creeps up eventually I think and I do really like it. Xx

Oh I love Elodie Bea I think it's soooo pretty

And for the record I adore Archie Alexander too. I have a Jack James - I love rhymey names xxx

I love jack James! Sounds so cute and can imagine hearing that name being very successful when he's older! Xx
