Last week embryo an heartbeat

Ok so I had a hematoma bleed went for us baby was fine heatbeat all was well. The next week had a bled went to ER said they see nothing ?? Went to my on on tues she said that they don't see the hematoma anymore but they see my yolk sac.. Question can you have a miscarriage and just lose the baby and the yolk sac still be in place?? I'm so confused I have to go for another scan next week. I haven't had any clots nothing no pain at all .

Sounds strange. Are you getting a follow up? Perhaps the yolk sac is a twin that stopped developing at that stage? I do think it's possible to pass the baby before the sac but don't quote me on that.

Monday was the bleed no clots no pain no
Blood or anything since I go for a follow up on Tuesday my ob wants to do another scan. I told her if this was a miscarriage I wanted it to be natural this time but she didn't give me any medication for it? She just said I want to wait & rescan . Hope they find my baby somewhere in there could the blood in the uterus block the view I'm pulling at strings and praying alot.

It's weird the baby would pass without there being any clots yet it's also weird that they couldn't find the baby. How far along were you when they found the heart beat? Was that found with a trans-vaginal scan?

Not finding the baby after seeing one sounds like a bad sign but I'd think there would be some sort of clots if you passed it. I hope you get a happy ending!

I was 6 weeks 3 days at the time it's weird first time I went they found the yolk sac no baby I had to wait a week went back and there was the baby an heartbeat they said I had a hematoma abd could bleed I spotted then on Memorial Day I had about a table spoon on just blood no clots at all and that was it no cramp nothing and no blood since. All my ob said last tues was they seen the yolk sac and to come back in a week. I think the only thing that could save this is god I still feel pregnant my tummy is bloated out like I am my numbers were good. If you have a miscarriage how long does it take for it to happen I had one before but it was a missed miscarriage an I had no blood an got a d&c.

It's hard to say how long a miscarriage would take. Sometimes, after the baby dies the body reabsorbs it back into the lining. I had a missed miscarriage back in the fall and I was told the baby had already started to break apart. The doctor mentioned I had already probably passed parts of it but I hadn't been bleeding beyond spotting so I knew I hadn't. In that case, it took two days for my body to miscarry after seeing the ultrasound though the baby had been dead for about a week.


This last time it took about 3 weeks to pass the baby. I don't know when the baby died as it was still alive the last time I saw it on the u/s but I knew it was going to die because it was small and had a really, really weak heart beat. I started to miscarry naturally but had to have a d&c because the bleeding was too much and my blood levels were way too low.
