Nothing happened at the Drs Even with all of my history they're rubbish. I asked the GP is she would do a blood test and she said "no we don't do that" and so I asked to be referred to a specialist, and said I would go private. Found out today stupid GP hasn't even referred me yet, I tried to phone the specialist and get an appointment myself, but they won't see me until 8 weeks and now I don't know what to do and I'm worried. I'm meant to be given medication for hypo-thyroid in pregnancy, but no one will help me. Hate the UK.

OMG that is bloody disgraceful!

Especially with your history they should be doing bloodwork at least weekly to monitor your HCG and Progesterone levels.

If I were you, i'd be kicking up a MASSIVE stink over this. Demand they do something.

I agree! This is appalling! I can't believe it is happening to you!

I would definitely go back and complain - loudly! If you don't get anywhere I would look into the possibility of changing doctors???

Just got off the phone to the consultant's secretary and went through my history with her again, the consultant is going on holiday for a week today, but she said she will get him to phone me before he leaves so that he can advise me on what I can do - I've got an appointment with him on 15 October. Also spoke to my consultant in Switzerland's secretary so hopefully she'll be faxing over my notes today, do hope they summarised in English or I'll need to get a translation!
Once I've spoken to the consultant I'll see what I can do next, ie go and stamp my foot somewhere else. Trying so hard not to stress, but can't sleep at all at the moment which I know is not good for me.

That's what's so silly, I'm not even using the NHS, this is private treatment!! As far as I can tell you're paying money for the same crap service.

I now have a scan on Wednesday, and she should be able to prescribe me my thyroid treatment too.
