Hello!

Okay we're now using NUK latex teats and we use a milton bucket for sterilising, only thing is I heard that leaving teats in sterilising solution will deteriorate them quicker!

I know latex teats dont last as long as silicone teats anyway but I just wondered how long they lasted when sterilising them like this?

I have a microwave steriliser but tbh I dont like to use it and much prefer the milton bucket.

So does anyone else use milton bucket and latex teats? Do you sterilise them for 15mins then take them out of the solution?

Thanks xx

I have Milton bucket and now recently moved up to stage 2 NUK teats which are only latex int he shops (that I have found) and they say not longer then the recommend time which is 15mins I guess this weakens this a bit. I do try and take them out after 15mins but sometimes I forget about them lol which reminds me there is a bowl in there since lunch time

Yeah I try to only leave them in there for the 15mins but it always ends up being a bit longer!!

As an fyi, they do the stage 2 in silicone too, it's so hard to get them in the shops that I get them online from https://www.pharmacy2u.co.uk/

It's free delivery and the cheapest I've found for the bottles (cheaper then boots etc)!!

Thanks again x

Boots only have the latex ones but you can get the silicone online. We prefer them now to latex.

I wish they stocked NUK products more in the shops.

I think milton sterilsing would be better as my latex teats got sticky very quick after electric sterilizing!

Only had the latex teats for a few days and they have already started turning white!! Think I will buy the silicone ones next!! I have had stage 1 teats in silicone!! Mothercare have got NUK products in thier book but not in their shops!!!

Just wondered is anyone else using NUK training beaker!! I have found it is the best beaker I have used lo just has to touch the spout and the water comes out!!

^^ might try that, I really trust NUK now.

My OH went to get 9oz bttles from Mothercare but they dont stock them , but they did have the small 5oz?!?! Are they mad? They said they could order them in but we got them cheaper off a shop on eBay anyway £15 for 3 bottles and silcone teats and all. Worth it!

Just as a heads up, the website I mentioned above does the 300ml bottles with teats for £3.55 plus free delivery, so even cheaper then Ebay. I've really found it a godsend, our bottles arrived within 2 days as well!

i'v just ordered 3 packs of silicone stage 2 teats and 1 learner spout for around £12 from that website much cheaper than NUKs website!!

I know it's like crazy! It annoyed me how on Nuk's own website they didnt stock the stage 1 latex large teats, they make them!! Grrr ah well it made me find the other site which is cheaper anyway I guess!! xx
