Lavender bath soak?

Afternoon Ladies,

Firstly, merry christmas everyone! Secondly i have a question, my gorgeous hubby got me some little me mum to be mummylicious luxury bath soak, which is fabby bless him. The only thing is it has lavender oil in, and i thought we were meant to avoid lavender during pregnancy? On the one hand you feel its safe cos its made for pregnant women, on the other hand am a bit wary, and mw away for 3 weeks.
Was just wondering if anyone had any thoughts or advice for me please?

I never heard anything about avoiding lavender? why is that?
If it's meant for preggo ladies then I'm sure it is safe lovely

I think it's fine but don't have your bath too hot, apparently that isn't good.

I haven't heard about avoiding Lavender and it is for mum's to be so I wouldn't worry about it. Just don't have the bath too hot. Enjoy it, take care XX

I also have never heard of lavender being bad for pregnancy. The only thing I have read that still stands as bad for pregnant woman is having a bath at a very hot temperature. This raises the body temp and is not good for Mom or baby. So, a warm bath with lavender sounds lovely!

Thanks ladies, i had a read up on the internet and it says that large amounts of lavnder oil, think they mean aromatherapy, is to be avoided as it can cause uterus contractions, but this is only in what they call large amounts, so i think my bath soak will be fine, i will be heading off to the bath in about an hour, ooh i can't wait. Thanks again for all your advice, hubby also got me some lovely bump cream and shower oil, so i am feeling truly spoilt lol xxx
