:growlmad: Dr. Brown bottles continuously leak everywhere! I'm so sick of the formula and pumped breast milk spilling all over the girls. Does anyone know why they are leaking or has anyone experienced this? It's so frustrating! :grr:

My bottles have been leaking too, but I don't use Dr. Browns. I use Gumdrop bottles and they keep leaking out the top and the bottom. They are the only ones my daughter will take though so I have to deal with it.

Dr.Browns are such difficult bottles to clean, put together, and use. I am not sure as to why they are leaking but have you thought about trying a different brand of bottles with a similar nipple?

I do think we will be looking into getting different bottles. I have no idea which kind though. Any suggestions? It would be nice if they took the dr brown nipples but it isn't a must.

I had problems with my Dr Browns and found they leaked at various times for the following reasons:

Going above the maximum line (after formula is mixed)
Heating the bottle too rapidly
Milk too warm inside bottle
Bottle being shaken rather than stirred or swirled
Bottle not done up tight enough
Bottle insert needs replacing

Don't know if any of these may be applicable to your situation

The best we could find when we had the overfilling issue was MAM anti colic. The teats aren't the same shape but they were similarly soft feeling so DS liked them - he hated harder feeling teats like the avent or tommee tippee ones
