Leg Cramps

Never mind cramps where the babies at, I've started gettting cramps in my legs in the middle of the nightNow thats a killer. I woke up last night almost screaming.

Is there anything to stop these.x

omg i had this really bad too for about 3 weeks its horrible isnt it i also woke up screaming in pain but all of a suddon the last week or 2 its stopped hopefully it will stop for u 2 , i couldnt find anything to stop it tho xxxx

Ive had exactly the same. Woken up in the night with the most hurrendous leg cramps, my DH thought i was going into labour i was screaming so much !!! lol
Can totally sympathise, its agony! your supposed to flex your foot towards you to stop th muscle spasm but omg i found that hurt more !!

This used to happen to me, the only thing I found that helped it was sleeping with my feet raised. Either on a few pillows or my big winnie the pooh teddy lol Hope is stops soon x

yepp i have leg cramps too
but not as bad.

See since I posted about this I haven't had any, weird.

I didn't even get these I don't think until later on in my last pregnancy that's why I was so shocked when they started, same with heartburn, never got that till I was 30 weeks + the last time.

I'll have to try the pillow thing! xx

Hi all,thought this might help......

My mum sometimes gets cramp in her whole body all at the same time which contorts her whole body.She now controls this by having a big glass of tonic water at night time before bed but it has to have something called "quinine"(not sure on spelling) in it.

Have a look down the drinks aisle as i think it might also be in ginger beer?

Bananas are supposed to help too apparantly because of the potassium content

I find that Magnesium helps My friends say a banana before bed will keep the cramps away.
