I'm trying not to worry myself too much, because I know movements can come and go and there are lot's of reasons why they might lessen.
I'm 20+5. Yesterday during the day I felt the baby move, when I got home in the evening, when she usually moves around a lot, I felt nothing. Maybe a small kick here or there, but not completely sure.
I used my Doppler and found the HB really quick, it was strong, so I was a bit relieved.
During the night I usually sleep really bad because each toss and turn my belly hurts, tonight I slept the whole night, nothing hurt. When I lay on my side, I usually feel her, but again, just a soft maybe flutter. This morning, again, a super soft kick.

I am slightly worried. I'm obsessed with cord accidents. I just want to feel her all active to know she's OK (as much as I can know from the outside). Eating something sweet, drinking cold stuff, never helped so there's nothing I can actually do. I'm afraid I've been pressing, or putting my hand on my belly around her too much and it effected her somehow.

Another thing, I told DH she might just have her back to us and that's why I can't feel her. I have had these kind of dull pains every now and then down there, from the inside. Maybe she's kicking or nudging in that area?

If you're worried can you call your midwife even just for reassurance that its normal?

I had this too and rang the midwife who says they won't even monitor movement (hooked to that machine thing) until 27 weeks! She told me if I was worried they would check for hb. Next day she was wiggling again. As long as you are feeling movement at this stage it is good.

Don't take it from me though ring your midwife for a chat and some re-assurance it calmed me down when I did x

Thanks, I don't have a midwife, only my obgyn.
I actually felt a lot of movement about an hour ago, so that definitely calmed me!
So much to worry about!

My little guy was pretty slow Sunday, Monday, and most of yesterday... Barely felt him move after I could sit and watch my belly dancing on Saturday. Then last night... Totally back to normal. I'm banking on the idea that he was turned around towards my back and that's why I wasn't feeling much. Boy those were a lonely few days!

I know this post has been resolved but I'd just like to add, IMO, when baby takes a few days of less movement, he/she is growing. I always notice that I am told after a few days of calm that my belly seems larger, or I have a bit of RLP. Just a thought.. :)

Thanks Beth, that's interesting!
Baby moved less today as well and I was worried again, but I just got a good hour of belly movement which has definitely calmed me!
I just love her so much already and would do anything to know everything is OK.

Ha that makes me feel better too. I had loads of movement the last three days and just some nudges here and there today. I went to the doctor for something and while there had very intense rlp. Still hurts six hours later but has had me couch ridden all day. Would make sense she is going through growth spurt!

Just wanted to add when in doubt get the scan, never feel dumb for demanding to know your little one is safe in there.

My son passed at 32 weeks when the Doctors did not believe me that something was wrong. My little one had been quite quiet and at that point I had barely any movement for 24 hours. I demanded to be seen and my little boy was caught in his cord, he ultimately passed. Needless to say the doctors were not my advocates on that one and I have a whole new team this time around but I demand a lot of scans just to be safe!
