Let's bug the mods until they open the grotto 2014

Its -1 tonight! My god I get Christmassy so bad down here in june, july August. Sigh

Serious question! What is it like to have Christmas in the height of your summer?
I'm from the uk so I hattee it. It's nice enough going to the beach for a BBQ, but not on Christmas day.
I miss proper Christmas. The whole season just isn't such a big deal here, the whole snuggly party atmosphere is missing :(

Aww I can imagine! I love fluffy pjs and the fire on and hot chocolate at Christmas time! I couldn't imagine Christmas without it really!

I would hate it too! It's often warm here on Christmas though, sometimes in the 70's (F), but sometimes cold. We only get snow in my city like once a decade. Not on Christmas, just ever. I just want a snowy Christmas… but then the city would shut down because they aren't prepared. :nope:

That is so true about where I live. Although my husband swears they have had more snow since I moved to Liverpool 7 years ago :haha:

Mmmm Christmas food! Yay! Lol. I have one Christmas pressie stashed upstairs so far- an orchard game for little miss .

I'm feeling so Christmassy today! X

Can wehave a xmas food thread??

Someone only has to mention Christmas food and I start drooling, :haha: Can't believe I've got to wait over six months for Christmas food

That's why we have 6 months of "practice". I'm practising slow cooker nutella hot choc this year

I need some good ideas, this is the first year we will do x mas dinner at home so I know I am gna go food crazy! (I am forever convinced we don't have enough food!)

Someone recommended Brussels sprouts sliced are delicious...happy to give them a go this year

Luckily I don't have to cook Christmas dinner, I'd like to give it a try though

The only way I have had sprouts is boiled in salt water. It was a lady onhere last year that mentioned sprouts sliced and something else cant remember which. But one thing that HAS to be on a roast for me is roast parsnips mmmmmm

Mmmm Christmas food :cloud9:

Just realised that as I am going to my parents for Christmas this year, I get to have one of the best Chinese Take Aways ever for Christmas Eve, im so happy. I have missed The China Garden in Norwich (please dont tell me its closed) :xmas12:

My oh asked what I was posting, I told him he wouldn't like it but he was like no tell me! I went its a xnas thread.. His face, if looks could kill my children wouldn't have a mother!! But now I'm thinking x mas food :)
