IF birth control is taken daily at the same time (if you always take it at say 10pm you can take it between 9:50 - 10 or between 10-10:10) if you take it some times at 10pm some times at 10:30pm ect that when the pill fails. Or if you miss a day kind of thing.

Also certain medications like anti depressants, anti inflammatory's ect can cross out bc.

stats here are something like 80% of babies conceived while on bc are from improper use 10-15% is from a medication interfering.

I have quite a few friends who conceived on bc lol, plus all the lectures ive gotten lol

My baby wasn't planned as such, we said we wanted a baby but we weren't bothered when so we didn't prevent. Then when I received this miracle boy we knew we had done the right thing x
 
Wasn't planned. But wasn't prevented by protection, i was just one of the nieve young girls that thought 'one time wouldn't hurt' :rofl:
 
i followed the rules of bcp like the bible but it still failed....
 
Even using the Bcp correctly wouldn't more teens get pregnant on it than the average % just as being younger we're usually more fertile?
 
The point is that the bcp is handed out so freely and no girl knows how to take it properly unless they read the booklet (like many of us did so were aware of the process) just because I know from experience that they don't want to run through anything else.
Definitely changing what I'm on when lo is born anyway :)
 
I didn't plan getting pregnant. Just got drunk and had unprotected sex with one of my friends lol. So glad it happened though- Ike is my entire world!
 
Lilly-Mae was unplanned, condom and pill failed.
Bean number 2 was planned :D
 
i'm glad i stumbled across this thread, i've been wondering the same thing about other pregnant young adults..

my story is; i was with my ex for 7 months, he's a lot older than me. i'm 18..almost 19 an he's 39. we were very serious, he spoke about marriage and getting engaged all the time, we even looked at rings together. we were protecting ourselves in the beginning and then stopped. he always told me that he'd love for me to get pregnant. he has a 6 yr old daughter and said that having a second child with me and marrying me would complete everything for him. i was suspected to possibly have fertility problems and he even said he would take me to a fertility specialist and had me call to book an appointment. surprisingly, i got pregnant almost right after. we got in a huge fight right before i missed my period, and i took a test while we were on a break and when we got back together i told him i was pregnant. and when i did, suddenly out of nowhere he told me that he never wanted a child with me, that if i kept the child i would ruin his life, that he wasn't ready for a second child. just the complete opposite of all the things he told me. he told me ateast a hundred times he wanted me to get pregnant, and not meaning in the future. as in he would love a child as soon as possible. and in the end he flaked out. i've come to the conclusion it was all talk to get me going, lies to draw me closer and get me more attached to him. he admits he never thought i'd get pregnant and that he figured if i did he'd be able to talk me into an abortion.

funny how things turn out..so i honestly consider my pregnancy planned. but he claims otherwise.
 
oh my...good for you to get out of this relationship. for a man at almost 40 to be acting like this tells a lot about him....
hope things turn out well for the rest of your pregnancy tho!
 
I had the implant taken out with my 1st pregnancy and got caught immediately as I was having really bad bleeds 3 weeks and they were soo heavy. I put up with it for 2 years and became severely anaemic I didn’t know until I collapsed ad to get it out and wait a week to go on the pill but it was too late :haha:

With this bubba I was on BC patches :haha: They are shit lol as my skin didn’t take to them apparently it's common :shrug:

i know, thats the thing that boggles me the most. that he's so much older, and already has a child, and so much life experience and yet he just can't find it within himself to be there. and i'm only 18 and stepping up to the plate, and i'm trying really hard. and he isn't. some people never grow up and are selfish i guess.
 
I don't really know haha. My story is...Me and my OH have been together officially for almost 2 years. We are engaged (we were engaged before I got pregnant) and both really wanted a baby but knew that it wouldn't be good to do it now because of my parents, so we were NTNP but at the same time I think the night it happend we both decided it was the right time at the last minute. If that makes since lol.

my son's bio-dad is 25 and told me that i was jst a kid and i couldnt raise a kid, and i remember telling him yea, im 19 and i stepped up and am doing everything possible to take care of my child and your 25 and u cant give up the booze, cigs, and weed to help pay for dr bills, who is the real adult? some guys will never grow up, FOB is always drunk except when he has Aiden...

my girl wasn't planned in the sense we decided it was a good time to have a baby, i just didn't think it would matter..
so i guess NTNP would describe it.
 
im nt supporting anyone under 18 TTC i was jst wondering kinda how everyone got pregnant? iykwim? like if they were trying or was a oops....
 
we defintely weren't trying but weren't using protection either so i guess NTNP would fit but that just sounds weird as we had been told it would be practically impossible for me to ever have children [due to scarred ovaries] and OH thought he couldn't either so we just weren't even aware that it could happen to us :dohh:..xx
